Then make it happen now Michel. Beterbiev isn't signed with Al Haymon and you could have Kovalev vs. Beterbiev at the Barclays Center. Someone would get KO'd for sure and I believe it would Beterbiev taking a nap.

      A couple of things:

      1. Let him pass Jeff.
      2. Even tanks can be put out of action. People start to forget Sergey's punches ain't pea from the reed..

Michel is not really saying anything here, he knows he's not putting Beterbiev in with Kovalev any time soon.

I wanna see Kovalev vs Beterbiev more than Kovalev vs Stevenson. They would both spark Stevenson.

            I think Beterbiev KOs Kovalev.

It's a tough call. Beterbiev seems to have monsterous power (well, not just seems - of course he was KOing people throughout his am career also), but Kovalev certainly has the power to get the job done himself and has now demostrated excellent boxing skills at the top level.

There also, of course, remains the questions over Arturs stamina (which I've heard was occasionally questioned in the ams) - Kovalev has at least in part answered some of those (though the extertions of the final coupla minutes were clearly tiring him) by going the 12 rounds at a good, if measured pace.

Artur Beterbiev might well - even now, represent the biggest threat out there for Kovalev, but the guy needs to get the fights behind him now, and actually prove he's worthy of the shot.

Although the manner in which Artur annihilated Cloud was vastly impressive, Tavoris hadn't legitimatly won a fight in over 3 years and had shown that at the top level he was little more than an ambulatory heavy bag over his previous 3 fights.

Ain't enough - by itself - to earn him the title shot IMO.

I can actually see Artur running into problems finding fights at this point, he falls into the very high risk low reward category. Whilst Kovalev benefitted due to his rapid rise from relative obscurity with a coupla lucky breaks and guys underestimating him, few are likely to make that mistake with Beterbiev.

                Not happening.

LOL @ Michel and GYM taking the attention away from their lineal champ who ducked Kovalev for their prospect with 6 fights... hahahahahahahahahhahaah

Beterbiev can get it next year once he works his way up. Fighting Beterbiev with 6 fights is a lose-lose for both guys. Kovalev won't get credit for beating him- and Beterbiev has plenty of other options 6 fights into his career, that doesn't include fighting the best and most dangerous LHW in the world.

Why would they need to. Stevenson is the man to beat. No one at light heavy has the resume he has.

This media marketing blitz needs to stop. Had Krusher fought Stevenson last night he would have lost. The guy has no chin whatsoever, he has had the luxury of fighting soft hands thus far.

Put him in with those top ten that can ****, if he can hang with the big dogs than we will talk. So far beating lethargic old men doesn't do much. Especially considering there are fighters at his weight that beat much better versions of him already.

Beterbiev is a tank, you can tell he can absorb punishment thanks to his sheer size/frame, while he's got power that'd rival Kovalev. I think Kovalev is a knock out waiting to happen, just hasn't fought anybody quality with power. Plus I think Kovalev's conditioning is questionable, not many guys can handle his power, but I think Beterbiev can.

Beterbiev is the future king of LHW imo. Just needs to hone his craft a bit more.
Hard to buy into him having poor conditioning after just fighting a busy twelve rounder and having enough juice to go for the kill in the last minute. He didnt exactly look knackered afterwards either.
