I haven't read through all the posts so I'm sorry if I'm copying someone else's post. This is the same question the Jamaican woman asked Floyd himself in the London barbershop (nobody present could answer it). The response to your question is that Floyd and Emmanuel are the prime elite welterweights. Until Floyd fights Manny he's ONE of the best, Not the best.

Student of the game , really , if so you would know there is no best , just fan opinions based on their personal interpretation and how biased their favoritism is .

No single fight overshadows the entire body of a fighters work otherwise the like of Oliver McCall would be a legend , when a fighter is looked at you got to look at all of it , then reference its validity against the opponents , what form were the opponents in at the time , what weights , what conditions , age , ease of win , what did the opponents do afterwards etc etc , all these things reveal the authenticity .

This is another fanboy thread debating hype .

Floyd has fantasy fight wins against Pacquiao, Hearns, both Sugar Rays and Roberto Duran.

Not sure what more you want from the man ?

well i don't consider mosley a level when floyd fought him and pac also beat mosley so that's a wash. don't go trying to say that the mosley pac fought was any different because he was sh-it in both fights.

Nah it's just hard to fight against an opponent who has juice flowing through his fists.

One of the conditions for that fight was that Mosley had to take random blood test but Pacquiao didn't.
Now I don't mind if you're gonna do a little dirt on the side but to be scared that someone else is doing it is just feminine.

He knocked down iron-chinned Mosley with a jab. A jab.

To be completely fair Ricky Hatton was on many people's p4p list at the time Floyd stopped him.

But to look for a truly elite WW, you'd be hard press to find one.

The elite WW everyone wants to see him with, just hasn't happened.
