If you can't respect Miguel and what he's done for the sport over the past 10 years than you're more than likely a narrow minded fan who only hugs the nuts of a fighter with an "0". The guy has consistently been a top 10-15 fighter over the past 10 years and didn't win titles in 4 different divisions by luck. How many fighters can say they fought champs or former champs like Pac, Mayweather, Margarito, Mosley, Martinez, Judah, Clottey who were near their primes (Martinez was the favorite going in). Or undefeated contenders like Paulie, Quintana, Torres, Pinto, Trout, Foreman who were at their peak. Sure, he didn't win them all but he manned up a fought them when he had to.

Sanchez is hungry for a big fight which is fine, GGG has been truly impressive, but, let's not act like he's fought technically skilled fighters. The verdict is still out if he can deal with skilled fighters. As far as Cotto, the guy won his strap in June. Let's not act like he's been campaigning at 160 for years, wait and see who wins Canelo/Cotto before you nut huggers keep crying duck.
No1 discredits his overall track record, at least not me. Theyre just going by what his last fights were, a crippled Martinez, superbum Delvin, and losing pretty bad to Trout. None of those fights make you think he has an advantage over Canelo and much less GGG. It's reality.

Cotto could give canelo a run for a few rounds till withering and losing to mexican red. Cotto is a shot fighter who beat a shotter fighter in Sergio. shotter fits for overrated Serge..
I bet if it was GGG who beat Martinez the win wouldnt be as insignificant. GGG was campaigning for the same fight against Martinez. It just so happens Cotto was the one to dethrone Martinez. Now every GGG bandwagon fanboy is afraid Cotto is going to hold the middleweight championship hostage. Dude just won the title. Dude has never ducked anyone ever. If the money is right GGG could get some too. Im not guaranteeing Cotto beats GGG, but I guarantee as long as the fight goes Cotto will be winning. But that GGG power though..... thats the real factor. GGG skill-wise isnt on Cotto's level.

BTW Cotto beats Quillen who cant fight inside

Cotto absolutely destroys Taylor... its silly to say otherwise.... makes you look like you dont know **** about boxing.

everyone except the judges had Cotto-Trout a 115-113 kind of fight... how bad did he really lose? Come on now son, lets not use misleading facts to rewrite history.

Superbum Delvin went the distance with Trout and no one had ever done what Cotto did to Delvin.

Crippled Martinez was an overwhelming favorite to beat Cotto.

what has GGG done in his career besides beat journeyman and untested former champs

Geales tough but he lost to Barker who got creamed in his next fight by Sturm

Rosado is really good at looking ok losing.

Rubio was really good in the thundercats and at winning fights in Mexico

Stevens is a bum who never ever did anything significant.

The best thing Macklin ever did was name himself Mack The Knife. hes got a cool nickname, thats it. Oh, and he "dropped" Martinez

        Ishida though....

and......Canelo is like the Mexican Felix Sturm... you would think the guy only fights on his birthday with all the gifts hes been given.

        Lands 15 headshots, beats Lara

And your probably the same person who picked Sergio to beat Cotto but when that didn't happen Sergio is an automatic passed prime, crippled bum. Love it. Delvin was a solid win, why? Because of the fashion it was won in. Cotto didn't get destroyed by Trout either, rather Trout fought a smart fight and fought scared from the outside to get the win. When you have 4 inch height advantage to go along with a 6 inch reach advantage that's how you should fight.

You should probably watch the Trout fight again without your Cotto homerism blinding your judgement. Cotto was thoroughly outclassed that night getting a decision in Cottos home turf of all places. Trout worked him from the outside beautifully not letting Cotto establish any kind of rhythm. 115-113 is a joke and you know it. I had it 118-110.

Delvin is a superbum who was already knocked out before, and was used as comeback fight for Cotto after losing 2 in a row. He wasn't a serious opponent. He was there to make Cotto look good.

I was sad seeing Martinez try and fight on crumbled right knee joints. Ot It was so bad that he had to have trunks down to his ankles trying to hide em lol. Cotto looked good yes, but it was more due to Sergios physical inabilities that the fight played out the way it did.

Canelo had a tough fight with Lara which I thought he won 115-113, due to Lara running a little more then boxing.

And yet Canelo beat Trout, stop making excuses, Trout beat Cotto fair and square, his trainer this, his reach that, smh......Oh no he didnt destroy him in the literal sense, but he did outpoint him badly winning a lopsided UD.

cash out against GGG? how will he cash out if there's no cash to be made? he'll make more money fighting Chavez jr, Bradley, Maidana, or the winner of the Pac fight.

Bradley, Maidana no. Chavez is way too big, he can barely make 168.
