Could you show me the article where Ward's people say "they are not ready." If I'm not mistaken, it was just last month that Ward reached out to HBO to tell them to setup the fight with him and GGG, BECAUSE GGG's team said they were ready for anyone between 154-175. And just to inform you, they've tried to make the fight, you have to start with "negotiations". If you can't get someone to negotiate with you, how are you to make a fight?

They tried to talking to GGG's people, but were turned away with the "we have unfinished business at 160" line. Can't make an offer if no one is willing to negotiate. That's why Ward told them to stop using his name if they aren't serious about making the challenge. Why should Ward send an offer when it's GGG's team saying they want everyone from 154-175? That's like you ordering food, paying for it and having to make it too...

Per Abel Sanchez, they never tried talking to Gggs people. Sanchez told them to call Gggs promoter, or make an offer. Then Wards trainer said we never sent any letters to Hbo, Andre had nothing to do with it, plus wed need a couple of tuneups before fighting Ggg. If Cotto keeps fighting if he beats Canelo, his options are guys like Chavez Jr, Bradley, Maidana, Pacquiao (If he comes up to 154). That's about it. He won't fight anyone from 160 because nobody there can get him the type of money a fighter of his magnitude is looking for. Maidana and Bradley at least have been on PPV a couple of times (Bradley x3), Maidana twice against Mayweather and gave him 24 tough rounds. GGG won't be on PPV cause no PPV fighter wants to fight him, they want to fight eachother to maximize their purses. Just like Team GGG said Ward makes no financial sense, GGG makes no financial sense for a guy on his way out the sport (Cotto).

I don't understand what is the obsession of these fans and the mismatches. Cotto vs Bradley, Maidana, Chavez Jr, Pacquiao are all excellent match ups that you should all be asking for, if Cotto happens to beat Canelo. Vice versa, I would love to see Canelo vs Pacquiao/Maidana/Bradley/Chavez Jr.

Let's just end this discussion here. Cotto can't beat Canelo, no chance. When Canelo beats the crap out of Cotto, you will see just how shot Sergio Martinez was. You will be reminded why Cotto got drug by Austin Trout who was primed at the time. Cotto needs to fight the Tim Bradley's, the Keith Thurmans, the Robert Guerreros. Cotto wouldn't last 3 rounds with GGG, and that fight will never happen. As for Chavez who is almost 6'0" and walks around weighing 200lbs between fights, Cotto will never fight that cat either. What are you talking about idiot? Canelo already had Lara and beat him. Cotto has no cards except a One & Done fight with Canelo for a massive payday, and a thorough beat down by Canelo. The only fight that gets made for Cotto following that train wreck is Tim Bradley if he still wants the fight. Cotto will never fight Gennady. He'll never fight Lara, he'll never fight Quillin, and Chavez Jr. is way too big for Cotto and that fight never happens. Floyd isn't going to fight Cotto again and neither will Pacquiao. canelo seems a bit short for middleweight, but the way things are going for him and at 23(he's 23 right?) i can't see how he'll avoid fighting at 160 eventually
