I remember Hopkins once offered to fight a heavyweight Oleg Maskaev when Oleg had the WBC title.
Floyd will go down as the better fighter, but Hopkins as the "greater" fighter due to his superior resume. This has nothing to do with who you think Floyd "avoided" so I don't know why you even mentioned it...

          Agreed.

Floyd would get his deserved dues if his fans/team promoters would just be realistic about him on the boards.

maybe if you really consider hopkins age with the big fights he won it might be close

but i can't see and think floyd has a much superior resume

How many times has BHop went to someone's backyard and won? How many has Floyd?

How many times has BHop been the underdog and won? How many has Floyd?

Who has more undefeated fighters on their record?

Who is willing to face fighters of all races not just latinos?

They both have 1 common opponent, Oscar, and who won it more decisively?

I'm still waiting for someone to name something that Floyd did that hasn't been done in the history of the sport before. I can name a couple for BHop

                I can..

Took his entire legacy and flushed it completely down the toilet.

Totally refused to fight the best fighters for years and then has the gall to call himself TBE.

This is unprecedented in the history of the sport!

As of right now in my eyes hopkins being the oldest unified lhw champion is slightly enough to put him ahead of floyd at this moment... but let me ask your opinion real quick...lets say floyd and pac finally fight next year, if floyd was to beat pac would you say hes the best fighter of this era, or at least ahead of hopkins?? because most likely if pac lost to floyd you will still think pac is the best of this era...right or wrong?

One win over Pac still wouldn't be enough. Thats like saying Kovalev should be rated higher than BHop cuz he beat him

This thread is as silly as who is greater willie pep v Floyd.
Bh will be remembered as the greater fighter, he took bigger risks and they are what will be remembered, real david and goliath stuff.

Floyd will be remembered for his unbeaten record so he will be remembered a bit more than Sven Ottke, as I think Floyd is a better fighter than Sven Ottke. Floyd is alongside JC.

FLoyd only has his unbeaten record to boast of as of now, because he certainly hasn't beaten better fighters than the smaller Pac. He cant boast of beating Morales twice, and Barrera two of the greatest mexcican fighters of all times. He cant boast of ko'ing big guys like Pac has done, or ko'ing and devastating as many people.

The lack of anything memorable is what is going to ultimately hurt Floyd
