Froch can beat Kovalev

You're crazy.
Froch is not faster, his chin is not good enough, he's way too open, near the end of his career, and most of all he's much smaller. Froch is one of the few guys who sticks close to his division limit all the time and doesn't put much weight after weigh ins.
Kovalev would destroy him. It wouldn't be fair.Comment

Kovalev would destroy Froch. No way in hell Froch would even consider getting in the ring with the ruskie. Froch won't even consider fighting GGG, openly admitting that he will duck him no matter what.
If he is too much of a coward to fight GGG, obviously he's not going to fight the much larger Kovalev.Comment

Lol ridiculous thread.
Krusher would show Froch no mercy. The only thing Froch has going for him is a good chin and he's never fought at 175 or EVER fought a guy with the power of Kovalev.
Kovalev literally does everything, and I mean EVERYTHING better. Every punch is better, 5x as much power, better boxing skills, footwork, etc.
Ridiculous idea, IMO
Kovalev is good, no doubt. But there's no need to hype him to high heaven, because you'll have egg on your face if Stevenson smashes him.Comment

Didn't Froch say something like it is Chavez Jr. or retirement. Not that it isn't a great fight, of course.Comment

According to that guy, Kovalev now only needs to beat Stevenson and Pascal (lol) to be the greatest Light-Heavyweight of all timeComment

I think Kovalev beats my boy Froch but I would not completely overrule Froch shocking the world.
I am still not sold on Kovalevs defense or his chin & his stamina.
Its great he went 12 but its not very hard to do when you're not being positioned and hit back.
I think he probably becomes the first to stop Froch but as always IF Froch is smart ala Groves 2 and can take minimal punishment he always has a shot down the stretch. There is no fighter at 168 or 175 active who can find gears like that in the latter rounds. No matter how much punishment he shifts its truly admirable how he continues getting stronger down the stretch.Comment

Take it with a pinch of salt.
Obviously, Kovalev will need to do a lot more than beat Cleverly, 50 year old Hopkins, Stevenson and Pascal to be considered anywhere near the greatest.Comment

I can't imagine how badly Froch's demeanor would piss off Kovalev. This would be a classic Kovalev mauling in 4, with Kovalev taunting Froch's limp body on the canvas.Comment
