Froch is a big super middleweight. Like Hopkins said, that division never existed throughout most of boxing history!

Froch should grow a pair and instead of hiding in the 168 division, come over to Atlantic city and take a beating from Kovalev.

Watch the fight again. Bhop was getting his neck snapped and was out on his feet in the 12th.

Not sure Froch even beats Bhop.

Carl is just easier to hit than Bhop. Kovalev clearly hits a ton harder than Groves.

This does not even well for Froch

your just a troll or have no idea bout boxing, Froch clearly won 7 or 8 rounds, lost some close rounds, however he did get staggered late, was it the 9 or 10th round? cant remember but recovered well and finished strong.

        dont see how he struggled.
froch won both fights vs kessler but he struggled on the first one, but i think he won the first one aswell, , lol, that said, kessler is no kovalev

          Can't see it.

Froch isn't built for 175, Kovalev would have 15 or so lbs on him and at this stage of his career Kovalev would be way too much for him.

            It definitely is.

He said he'd rather go down than go up.

            He's 172-173 in the ring.

Not to mention, Groves and Kovalev have different styles
thats the thing with froch, lol, he sometimes doesnt bring his a game and winds up struggling, lol, kessler and groves for example, lol, he won all 4 fights against them but in rematches, lol, he destroyed them, lol, kovalev vs froch will be tougher than a ward fight in my opinion, its a powerful puncher who can k.o and box smartly, ward cant punch for ****, lol, ward cant fight without fighting outside oakland, ward is a diva, lol, kovalev is a monster(for anybody including froch), lol

                Yeah....great idea!

I think Froch's window to move up to 175 has probably passed.
I have to agree. In terms of weight and fitness Froch has been about the most consistent fighter that I know of - BHops is another who maintains constant weight and fitness and fights relatively close his class weight limit, of course.

Froch is and always has been a SMW and belongs there. He walks, talks and screws Rachel (mmm.. don't know where that one came from) as the same guy you see in the ring - to bulk up at 37 years old after an entire career getting to understand your capabilities of your body within 1 or 2 lbs every fight, then to suddenly try to adjust? Ain't a great plan IMO.

Doubtless he could have beaten a large part of the LHW lineup, but at the elite level? ... well TBH it's hard to call... Pascal is still (somewhat bizarrely to me I must admit) considered a top tier LHW and I've little doubt that Froch could handle him again if they fought.

Kovalev, hell even Stevenson (who kinda remains part of the equation even if he's basically shot off not just his foot but his entire leg)? I ain't so sure. I would have picked Froch against a 168 Stevenson without hesitation, but the size thing is a limiter for the Cobra..

Look at it this way - Kovalev is a little like a slightly more skilled, much harder hitting and considerably bigger prime Kessler. With attitude. Where's your pick going?

                  Make it happen!!

Froch has a chance against literally anyone. Technically, he sucks, but he's weird enough, tough enough and hits hard enough to has a chance against anyone in the sport including HWs.

I still have to pick Kovalev though.

                    imo 60-40 in Froch's favour.
When did he hurt him? Do you even watch fights? The twelfth round their feet clashed. Go watch the replay, if you believe he hurt him you're ****in ******ed.

Froch is a club fighter compared to Koval, he gets stopped early. Bad match!!!
