true, true and true! except that Kovalev did not allowed BHop to use his dirty tactics, but B-Hop is a Great fighter.Hopkins has been humbled by the Krusher and has been extremely classy in defeat towards Kovalev. I believe he honestly thinks Kovalev is one of the best fighters he's ever faced which is why he's offered no excuses , lots of respect.
Also, again I'd like to say there were a lot ppeople refusing to give Hopkins any kind of credit. They said they didn't believe he'd fight Kovalev, and then once the fight got hard Hopkins would look for a way out, try to get a DQ or DQ himself, that he would clinch like crazy, he'd fight dirty, cheat, headbutt, etc. He didnt do any of that despite being dominated and hurt multiple times. Obviously his offense was extremely limited because Kovalev was too much for him to handle, but he toughed it out. Most men would have been knocked out and or quit after some of those monster shots. And in defeat hes been classy. Hopefully some of those people can now give some credit to the old man for attempting something truly great in an era where most so called champion's avoid tough fights and do not challenge themselves, more concerned with an easy payday instead of legacy.Comment

I have to admit that I was expressing an opinion that Hopkins would do the same as in Chad 2 fight. I was completely wrong.Hopkins has been humbled by the Krusher and has been extremely classy in defeat towards Kovalev. I believe he honestly thinks Kovalev is one of the best fighters he's ever faced which is why he's offered no excuses , lots of respect.

Full credit to Bernard the Legend! Lots of respect!Comment

A lot of BHop's fans thought he was fighting Pavlick again, but BHop and Naseem Richardson are not that ******.Hopkins was demolished because he trained to fight Pavlik again, not Kovalev.. the pre fight interview with Lampley is what made me scared for his life, even before the bell rang, I knew Hop was doomed because of this belief. Kovalev is not a blown up MW, hes a damn cruiserweight who just happens to campaign at 175, hes a damn tank.
BHop lost because Kovalev had too many physical advantages over him plus the skill and intelligence to use those advantages effectively
Both guys have more fans now than before the fight. I never liked BHop before but I do now.
Krusher, I think, was genuinely grateful to BHop for accepting the fight, which was kind of touching to see. He'd still have knocked Bernard's head off his shoulders if he'd got the chance though, that's what boxing is about.
BHop is a natural born surviver. He has more than just a great chin. I noticed how, in the last round, even though he was stunned and tired, his head was always moving away from Krusher's big punches, even before they landed.Last edited by kafkod; 11-10-2014, 06:06 AM.Comment

There seems to be a paradox in people who say that his age is what lost him the fight, because the way I saw it. . . His age is also what kept him in the fight, using all that experience and knowledge to stay there 12 rounds, something many people in their prime right now ie Cleverly (not comparing Cleverly to B-Hop) but physically should be in better shape on paper. . . But Cleverly didn't have the experience to last more than 4 rounds, despite being in his prime.Comment

I don't get why people are defensive about saying Hopkins looked old. He did. He hardly threw any punches. He stood there n got beat all night. I'll be the first to admit I thought hop had this fight won. But I'm not at all discrediting Kovalev. He was by far the better man. It's a very good win for him. But I still think Hop is done.Comment

the crusher used his size and reach. that was his key to the win.
b hop didnt throw much due to crusher fainting and also crusher used distance well. he just was outsized and outgunned. anyone else would have caved in with the pressure and right hands. props to b hop. he was losing and knew it. size does matter. lolLast edited by BaDaBiNgVIP; 11-10-2014, 10:08 AM.Comment
