Congratulations to Kovalev on his performance tonight, he's a like able guy. I would like to see Kovalev vs Stevenson next. I gotta give credit to Bernard for hanging in there and not getting knock out, what a chin by a 49 year old. I hope he retires though, the guy is a living legend.

Good Fight from Kovalev, showed some versatility in this fight which impressed me the most. He was Patient and BOXED B-Hop

Good Heart from the Old Man Hopkins

People expecting this to look like the Pavlik fight just weren't using logic.

Kovalev isn't a blown up MW.

Props to Kovalev I think Hopkins actually still has his reflexes but Kovalev was being smart and hurting him constantly. Even if B-Hop is 49 people have to give Kovalev his props he won every round and showed great boxing ability and the composure of a true champion. I really hope Stevenson fights Kovalev he has the power to beat him but I'd pick Kovalev/

Kovalev showed real intelligence and control unlike many of Hopkins' past opponents. Major props to Kovalev, hope he's around for a long time to come.

Hopkins should have one last shot at Stevenson then retire. I don't think Stevenson is as smart as Kovalev nor as fundamentally sound boxing-wise. Hopkins fares better in that match-up.

Kov was just too big, strong, crafty and durable.

I dunno, people talking about how Hopkins looked old, and sure he is old, you can't argue that, but he went 12 rounds omeone with who is one of the hardest hitting men in boxing, younger fighters were put away way way earlier... Just the fact he made it to the final bell is amazing.
Sure it wasn't the brutal type of fight most of us hoped for, but it was interesting in other ways. Seeing Kov take his time, placing his shots, fighting a measured gameplan, and showing he can box, and go the distance.
Not only that, he had B-Hop on his bike, punching with him, countering, making it very hard for B-Hop to get off. . . And as we all know B-Hop is a veteran boxer who knows all the tricks.

I'm interested to see where Kov goes next.

                      Props to Bernard

I am a fan of both but today I must say that Bernard is a true legend. He is ranking in my books higher mostly due to his opposition and tendency to take on any risky fights. Floyd who cherry picks his opponents and did not have a challenge for years is in my books very low. Bernard is always going to be remembered as one of the all time greatest. He is 49 yrs old and did ok considering his age, much more than other opponents Kovalev had in this division. There is no one like Kovalev-Alien

Krusher will do well. I cannot wait to see more of his fights. Hopefully Stevenson will stop hiding and take the fight.

                      GGG all the way BABY
