The article is on point. There's no doubt in my mind that Hop is thee greatest active fighter. He's already done so much, with such a vast resume and when you factor in age? it's incredible.

If he does beat Kovalev, (which I do not see happening), then it will enhance that much more. I suspect that in time people will come to appreciate the talent they were lucky enough to witness live.

Its not so much about getting put to sleep as it is what you do after, do you get up and come back or QUIT. Nassem QUIT after a boxing lesson, Pac put to sleep got up and whupped a supreme PRIME ELITE Welter weight in Tim Bradly who tried his best 110 percent to KO Pac but LOST.

HOP won't fight Andre Ward , Why ?

May Jr has a long history of Ducking Prime Elites or can you NAME ONE in the last ten years? Just name a Prime Welter Weight Elite that Jr has fought in the past ten years.

It's true it likely won't be done again but most great fighters aren't considered green at 28 and aren't a champion until 29.

He's much older than both Pacquaio and Floyd but he's only been at world level a few years longer.

        Still impressive though.

His age exaggerrates his legacy way too much. If OST was involved I'd give him more credit but since the Pascal OST situation Hopkins has ducked OST more than he has Andre Ward lol! Hopkins is the most racist and assinine fighter I've personally witnessed. Hopkins is TBE of illegal tactics and getting away with it. His skillset is mediocre compared to his gift of gab. I've never seen a guy flop like Hopkins or have such a weak resume get blown up into ATG status. His best win is Tito who was one dimensional and in his 3rd weight class. Hopkins is only a 2 weight champ lol. His 160lb run was **** when broken down... ODLH and Tito are his best wins and had to clean his division up for him. Right after Taylor beat him twice. Everyone seems to forget his acting in Dawson 1 and then getting beat the 2nd time also. Bhop will go to 168 for GGG but not Ward... anyone else that's a legit duck. "I'll never be beat by a white boi!"

Hopkins vastly over rated, so what f he's 50, it's the caliber of opposition & he has not many elite boxers he has faced.

DO NOT EVER try 2 compare him w/SRR...Kovalev, another tested gut that Bob Foster would have ko'd easily...

You're a f.uck'n moron. First of all, B-Hop isn't even a part of the Floyd/Manny era. He was on the era before them. And IMO, he and Roy Jones are clearly #1 and #2 in that era. I always gave RJ the edge because he won the head-2-head match-up (personally I don't even acknowledge their second fight). But X's ability to stay relevant at the top level of the sport nearly a decade longer than RJ has me viewing them as more a 1a and 1b than 1 and 2 in their era.

As for the Floyd/Manny nonsense. Again, you're a f.uck'n moron.

                    SK by stoppage.....

Sk will retire Hopkin's tonight. I will be surprised if a 49 yr old man goes 12 with an ELITE fighter. Hopkin's is like Mayweather when it comes to picking opponents. They like tp take the road less traveled. The problem with this fight for Hopkin's is, he didn't "pick" SK. He HAD to fight him. Hopkin's has always been overrated in my book. He's a good fighter but that's it. He's a "hustle" fighter who had to work to be good. It wasn't natural for him. He's had a good run but his claim to fame was fighting smaller HOF fighters. He cheated on the scales for YEARS fighting at middleweight but was really a light heavy weight. The wins over Wright, Trinidad, Hoya, and a drunk Pavlik, was mainly due to size, not skill. Let him tell it, he's so special but to me, he's an average fighter.
