Sorry man, but there is no way in hell Cotto is going to agree to Texas. He might as well fight in Mexico then, because the venue will be jam packed with Mexicans. And Cotto is NOT having that!

Forget about Mexican venues (Mexico, Vegas, Texas) and forget about the Mexican holiday. The legendary Puerto Rican is NOT having that. Arum already gave you guys the hints that it ain't happening.

If the fight happens it'll be in New York, and/or somewhere not typical like a Chicago. But for the most part, expect New York. But Texas? Vegas?

Any venue in Chicago will be packed with Mexicans. Might as well hold it in Texas if you're going that route.

Taxes aren't really an issue these days because MSG and The Barclays are willing to pay top dollar to have a huge boxing event there. The Barclay's particularly have already outbid the MGM Grand for Mayweather vs. Maidana 1 and Mayweather vs. Maidana 2. The deal was huge, but Mayweather didn't take it and to remain loyal to Vegas.

I only threw out Chicago cause a few told me the population split is different there. But I don't know the demographics of Chicago myself. But pretty much rule out any state where the Mexican population is very strong, while the Puerto Rican population is pretty weak.

I been singing this same tune for many weeks now. I was the first to say here that everyone will see them discussing over venues rather than Vegas. Do the research. I've said from the beginning, Vegas is out of the question. That it's not happening in Vegas. Ok, for argument's sake, it could. But it's VEEEERY unlikely. And then as the weeks progressed, slowly but surely the hints of it not happening in Vegas start to show up. I told a bunch of people, that Cotto is going to give everyone a RUDE AWAKENING. And it's going to be funny the way Cotto handles everyone!

If Arum was 100% convinced it was happening in Vegas, he would never in his right mind mention they are looking at any other venues. Never! And he would NEVER dare say the following:

You say that as if Cotto is fighting Angulo or Rubio. If that was the case then I'd say you had a point.

But Canelo is different. The fans he brings in, would make it in Cotto's best interest to come to Las Vegas. Where the high rollers would pay top dollar to see the fight, and generate a huge gate.

Why would Cotto worry about the Mexicans in the stand, they're not fighting him. Cotto's and his teams are going to be looking at the $$$$ and you have to be an idiot not to know that May 2nd, MGM grand would be the place you can make the most money.
