How would he fair in his 3rd division against the champions there?

Knocks Stevenson and kovalev out. Gets outboxed by Hopkins.

Wow is this a joke. GGG is a small 160lber!!!!! He's small enough to make 154 and fight at 154. Hell just about every other fighter in the world fight two divisions below their actual weight and GGG is one of the few fighting at a larger weight, for the honor and glory. GGG going by every other fighters today mentality would be a 154lber.

****** thread. Mods please lock this.

With that said, Golovkin KO's all of them besides Kovalev. Too big and strong.

Absolutely zero way to know before he even fights at 168. You hear good things about him sparring Kovalev, but that's sparring.

I think he loses to all 3 to be honest. Assuming Hopkins isn't suddenly shot or something.

really hard to gauge as he hasnt fought great opposition yet and remains to be seen how his power would carry up etc. I have a hunch those guys would be too big for ggg

What about if GGG fought these guys at a catchweight of 169-70, would GGG still be to small to fight those guys??

Lol so Hopkins can go up two weight classes coming off 2 losses to fight a big LHW - the number one at the time

                  But ggg can't ....

Hopkins weighed in at 156 vs Oscar. I don't think ggg has weighed below 158 in his entire professional career

Another example of holding different fighters to different standards

A small 160 who looks more like a 154 jumping to 175 would just be too much. Not that I don't think he could give all of those guys trouble on a technical level but there's a certain point where people can just overpower you.
