Again, Because they got paid big money did that make them any less of a pride fight? Plus, before Tyson went to prison Tyson Holyfield was the biggest fight to be made and if you dont think it was about pride being that holyfield had beat tyson in the ams your wrong.
There's very little "pride" left in boxing

really?? GTFOH...All of those were huge money fights. Pride? Lol....Tyson-Holyfield for example -Don King and Tyson paid a substantial amount of money not to fight Lennox Lewis and cherry picked what they thought was an old washed up Holyfield. Pride didn't really come into it.
Even Canelo-Lara wasn't really a "pride" fight.Comment

It was about cherry picking an old man and a belt to keep the Tyson hype train going whilst he continued to avoid Lennox Lewis.
Who else was Canelo going to fight? They needed a fight and opponent that would be PPV worthy. Lara was the only guy who was really available.Comment

All sport is business and has been for a century or so. The issue is, that it's starting to become more about numbers than actually fighting the best and having great rivalries, thing is, if the two best guys fight, they are bound to make money and big money too but there are far too many guys nowadays looking to make a quick buck via the easiest route.Comment

lara wasnt even available at the time... canelo picked him even knowing he was already signed to fight ishe smith... that was the perfect excuse for canelo to fight some other fighter but he didnt, still haters cant see that... and no way lara was ppv worthy, kirkland could have been a much better option...It was about cherry picking an old man and a belt to keep the Tyson hype train going whilst he continued to avoid Lennox Lewis.
