There's very little "pride" left in boxing

I get your point. In the old days boxing was on more and therefore you had to make better fights to get viewers. Nowadays, fans lock on to "their guys" and watch regardless of who the opponent is.
How you build a fighter has changed significantly since about 2001.Comment

not every fight has to be for pride, i will be ok if a champion or a draw can give us 2 money fights and 1 pride fight a year or something like that, lets not get carried and believe they have to take a dangerous fight after another with little reward...Comment

All of those were huge money fights. Pride? Lol....Tyson-Holyfield for example -Don King and Tyson paid a substantial amount of money not to fight Lennox Lewis and cherry picked what they thought was an old washed up Holyfield. Pride didn't really come into it.
Even Canelo-Lara wasn't really a "pride" fight.Comment
