I'm convinced. You're an idiot child.
"This contradicts the status of Javier Capetillo***8217;s license as stated on the Athletic Commission***8217;s own web site"
That's what stated on the link. Which is AFTER the timeline of the video you posted from that very same link.
Grow up, seriously. You'll get farther in life.
He's never had any sort of positive contribution to this site so don't waste your time debating him.Comment

Canelo's fundamentals will need to be sharp if he doesn't get Cotto out of there under 8 rounds.Comment

I think people are underestimating heart/desire. To win a high level fight like this against an elite opponent you need to be willing to give everything. I don't think Cotto is willing to do that anymore. He doesn't have the same desire to win that he had when he was younger, and clearly (as he himself says) he is only in it for the money. He is getting paid either way, and has nothing to gain by fighting it out other than a legacy he doesn't care about.
Fighters can look alright and then they get into that one fight where they are clearly "shot" but I think rather than being "shot" it is often just this lack of desire. Rubio vs. Golovkin being an example. Rubio just had no urge to win, and I think it might be the same here.
A). older fighter with one foot ready for retirement more eager than a young guy to retire on his stool. We've seen this a billion times
B). Money at that level makes quitting easier
C). Those who've lost are more accepting of an L
I mean all these are viable, especially in this case, option A. But You can't really call it until it happens. Nothing in Cotto's career indicates he'd bow it if the going gets tough and Canelo hasn't been tested yet to the level where he's going balls to the wall. All we have is the Mayweather fight, knowing he was getting shut out that he did not throw caution to the wind - so maybe that says something about his own desire/heart, idk.Comment

Physically Canelo has all the advantages, thats obvious.
I'm not sure you can say Canelo has great timing. He has great hand speed and if you stand in front of him (Angulo, Kirkland) he can land a lot of punches.
But when he's fighting someone who can move in and out he has a lot of trouble landing his punches.
The stamina issue its about how you manage your energy in the ring. Its not because they dont train hard or dont have great conditioning.
Cotto with Steward and Roach learned how to do that much better. A lot times when he was with Diaz and the other guy, he moved and threw punches when he didn't have to.
Overall, I think Cotto is the more complete fighter. He has better footwork, jab, timing, better body puncher, throws more punches, etc.
I don't think Cotto needs to "run" or move a lot to beat Canelo. He needs to move in and out, frustrate Canelo and land his punches.Comment

Respect for OP posting like a true boxing fan should; very nice assessment of how the fight may go down. I, personally, have a feeling that cotto's body punching and footwork will be the deciding factor in the fight. However, I can see cotto getting caught by some canelo bombs and getting dropped hard.
I'll be rooting for Cotto, hopefully he digs a few hooks into canelos spleen and kidneys and scores a massive ko by body punch!
Other than that, I am just glad that we will be having a fireworks show instead of that garbage fight pac v. mayComment
