Ward hasn't fought since Nov. 16, 2013. In Feb. 2014, he blasted GGG's team for not backing up their claim to be willing to fight anyone from 154-168 when he called Genady out. Truth is, Ward wasn't then and isn't now, in a postion to box anyone. Even Hunter can't say when Ward will fight next, or whom for that matter. He just says he'll be ready to fight "soon". Like he alluded to in the video, it's more the fans talking up a fight between Ward and GGG these days, than the fighters themselves. Litigation with the Goossen family is the biggest fight Ward has right now.

Search the forum 2-3 months back and you will find countless threads with guys stating that GGG is a small MW and Ward was too big, therefore it was ok if GGG didn't move up. Then when Ward went on record to state that he would be happy to hand GGG his first defeat, all of a sudden Team GGG comes out in public and states that a fight with Ward doesn't make sense, since Ward doesn't have a following. Then Ward gets locked down with managerial\legal issues, and all of a sudden he's ducking GGG

I'm guessing that many of these guys, don't realize that their BS is easy to find via the search function.
They see the fight can't happen now, so they're ****ing on their chest. If Ward settles his lawsuit tomorrow and calls out GGG, they will go back to their "Why won't he instead move up and fight Kovalev? Why doesn't he call out Hernandez at Cruiser?". In the same sentence they will talk about how Mayweather, Canelo and Miguel "He got a belt doe" Cotto are ducking GGG but won't dare say something like "GGG should move up to 168-175".

Looks like Dre just lost his sole fantasy victory. Now he actually has to get in the ring and fight to prove himself all over again.

I predict Golovkin/Ward happens between June 2016 and December 2016, and that Golovkin either stops Ward or wins a UD.

I've been saying Andre would never fight Golovkin without a tune up fight. Ward wanted to fight MW - Caleb Truax or Dimitri Sartison for $2mill after his last layoff. Since the S6 look at the guys Ward's been targeting, a shot/alcoholic Kelly Pavlik, weight drained Chad Dawson, Julio Chavez Jr, and MW Golovkin. He turns down undefeated Lucian Bute, and rematches with Froch & Kessler. He's been barking for a guy one division below, but won't whisper the names of any of the guys one division above.

By welterweight, do you mean the middleweight champion? Talk about a weak counterpoint...

So just to be clear. Ward should spend his entire career at 168 after winning the Super 6 and leaving no doubt that he is the best 168 lber in the world. P4p #2 doe. Meanwhile a guy who hasn't even gotten a chance to win the linear MW title and who most people say whose resume is lacking a single elite MW, you want this guy to jump up and fight LHWs? :smileysex

Hopefully people can't stop saying GGG needs to fight Ward in every Golovkin thread now that Hunter is saying they are planning one or two tune ups and that he can imagine a Ward Golovkin fight in a year and a half or two years. Additionally he states GGG should continue his journey at middleweight just like they will continue their journey at Super middleweight.

It doesn't matter that it is Cotto, the point a lot of us are making, or want to happen, is for Golovkin to get a crack at the LINEAL MIDDLEWEIGHT TITLE. Doesn't matter that it happens to be Cotto. GGG has patiently been waiting his turn, we just want to see him get his chance at the crown (and rightfully so being that he's the #1 ranked middleweight).

as for Canelo, I seriously doubt he's going to be at 154 forever. Hell, his past two fights were above 154 and if he fights and beats Cotto, I'm sure he'll be staying at 160.

This fight wasn't going to happen soon anyway, Golovkin's team said that Ward doesn't make financial sense.
