Whitaker moved too well for Pacquiao, not at all a difficult fight to pick. When it came to fighting off the back foot Whitaker did that as well as anyone, on top of that he would have picked Pacquiao apart from up close. Pacquiao's best chances would have been from mid range but Whitaker was too elusive. Not solely too elusive but he had a damn good chin and he recovered well.

Angles and awkwardness isn't gonna apply itself against a fighter who's a master at controlling distance, none of that would befuddle Whitaker, same applies against Mayweather as well.

It's not at all downplaying Pacquiao, it's acknowledging whats actually there. No shame in losing against those guys either.

I wouldn't, not even with a stacked undercard. I know they're both legends and all but the fight would be a close uneventful southpaw vs southpaw matchup.

          ^^^This, I wouldn't either.

May not be as comfortable as some think. I actually think it's a competitive fight, especially at 147.

Whitaker loved to step the the right as he moved around the ring gracefully but that would walk him right into Pac's fast left hand if he's not careful.

Still i would pick him to frustrate Pacquiao's and win a 7-5 or 8-4 type decision.
