Question: What type of challenges come with preparing for a fight on another continent with a much different start time? What’s at stake for the winner inside the welterweight division? What are your goals for the future in boxing?

Chris Algieri: “It just means you have to do a lot more time management in terms of scheduling and thinking ahead. You can’t just wing it, but I don’t do that with any part of my training anyways, so it is of no concern to me. Also we will be fighting at noon over there, and that is exactly what time I always spar, so that will actually be better for me. I am a morning person so being able to fight during the day will actually play in my favor.

I picked this dude to beat Provodnikov - but sheesh ever heard of being overconfident? He is underestimating Manny due to his size and Manny chopped down Margarito - stick to your training and come prepared - the provo fight could have easily been a draw....this dude has a ****y-arrogant-matter of fact personality - if he wins he will be a big problem - not skill wise, but running his trap wise...

Confidence turns to arrogance so quickly.
Manny will punish him til his corner throws in the towel.
Algieri not ready for prime time.

Algieri would be in the P4P talk if he does beat PAC convincingly.

I still can't make sense of why they chose to fight this guy with the mass of talent at 147.

I would rather see Manny fight Khan then this guy, or even Lamont Peterson!
