Not Manny Pacquiao, this ATG has been putting in work with no breaks since he first came on the scene, a true fighter.
8-time world champion in eight different weight divisions, non-protected record.

    Resume speaks for it's self:

    - Marco Antonio Barrera.x2
    - Erik Morales.x2
    - Juan Manual Marquez.x2
    - Oscar De La Hoya.(quit)
    - Ricky Hatton(amazing performance,KO in two rounds).
    - Antonio Margarito.(ended his career)
    - Shane Mosley(KD + ran the whole fight in fear of getting Hatton'ed)
    - Tim Bradley( took his soul).

And half of these wins are at welterweight, a small fighter being able to compete with fighters who are bigger, stronger, and just as fast, for so long is incredible knowing how small Pacquiao is, and to win 8tittles in so many divisions is ATG status, it's for the record books.

Fact is he fought all the future HOF'ers in impressive fashion.

Pacquiao is now 35, and past his prime. Enjoy him, this type of fighter comes through once in a lifetime.

    Resume speaks for it'self.

Everyone says Floyd is the best businessman, retires when his division gets hot , and then unretires when the threats have passed. Just no cut from the same cloth.
Those are just the fighters everyone remembers.
But there were a lot of impressive wins with guys who although aren't remembered as much by boxing fans now were great wins at the time.

Guys like Jorge Solis, who went on to become a world champion after his loss to Pacquiao.

    Larios was a decent fighter.
David Diaz was a good fighter but because he got destroyed by a GREAT fighter, gets trashed as never being that good.

Name me the champion that Pacquiao beat in each of those "8 divisions".

Sasakul and Ledwaba are good wins also.

Yeah i'd put the Ledwaba win in there over Mosley. First time I ever saw the Pacman fight. I was like "who is this little beast!"

          • Pacquiao has accomplished more, 8 weight divisions vs. 5, 3x BWAA Fighter of the Year vs. 2, Fighter of the Decade. Floyd's claim to that title is his zero. Pacquiao has been knocked out 3 times, lost 2 decisions, and has 2 other draws. This didn't matter in the Old School. Foster, Hagler were old school hitmen with losses on their record. But boxing these days puts emphasis on perfection, on avoiding losses.

I mean some people still say Cotto has been shot since Margarito stopped him even though he has gone on to win belts at 147, 154, and the lineal title at 160. Losses matter a lot more in this era than they did in the past. I don't know whether it's right, but it is a fact. Hopefully they fight one day so we can put the debate to rest, but I doubt they will.

Yeah and I think they took that fight on short notice also. Ledwaba is such an underrated win

              • Without a doubt. Hopkins and Roy are interchangeable at 2/3.

                  • I think it's between Pac and Hopkins (especially if he beats Kovalev).
