Says the guy who claimed he won 8 rounds of his first fight with Pacquiao.
With that said, this is anybodys fight. Just depends on what gameplan each fighter plans to execute. Bhop cant trade with Kov. No way no how. He has to come in as a spoiler and use every single trick in the book in order to be the victor. All Kov has to do is land something flush and solid.Last edited by Deevel916; 11-03-2014, 08:43 AM.Comment

Kovalev is a puncher. You can't beat Bernard Hopkins on power alone. Take away Kovalev's power, and what does he have?
Speed? No.
Smarts? No.
Endurance? No.
Intangibles? No.
Veteran tactics? No.
What exactly is he going to trouble Bernard Hopkins with? You saw what happened to Kelly Pavlik.Comment

Kovalevs power is such that it will only take one shot it is a game changer punch, so cant be compared to Pavlike again.
Kovalev uusually wins because at some point in the fight, his opponents have to take one or more of his punches. Plus we know Kovalev is a lot more than just a puncher.Comment

We cant bring up the Pavlike win, as that was so long ago, that BH was a young man, even though people thought he was old at the time when he really wasn't.

Say what you want about the drunkard known as Kelly, but at that point, before fighting B-Hop that is, he was a more accomplished fighter than Kovalev right now. You're right though, B-Hop is much older now and we have to wonder how many times can he defy age.Comment
