And the Canelo/Cotto fight won't be in June. There is more money in May. The fight will be in Vegas, where any number of venues would welcome the fight with open arms. Taxes are too high in NYC for a fight of this magnitude.

floyd will be forced to move if cotto v canelo gets made for may.
floyd has to put up his own money to stage fights (allegedly) and if that's true he will no doubt swallow his own pride before losing a lot of his own money to produce his fights.
floyd, haymon, TMT dont have the built in ground work and autonomy to put up their own ppvs like top rank does.

Particularly because I don't think Khan gets through Alexander and even if he does he won't look good, which will make selling him as an opponent tough.
If Cotto/Canelo gets made, what fight do you think would be able to compete with it?
Only Pac/May and we know that ain't going to happen.

If Cotto/Canelo gets made, meaning Mayweather can't fight Cotto or Canelo for the May date, what fight do you think would be able to compete with it?

But Mayweather always has a back-up plan and I do wonder if Cotto is still a free agent or not. If he is then that would really dent Canelo's plans. Seems unlikely though but it has happened before.
