    Looking ahead there is the issue of May 2nd. Cinco De Mayo weekend has become one of the traditional spots for Floyd Mayweather and his pay-per-view events. Will he be fighting on this date in 2015?

    "Absolutely," said Showtime Sports VP and GM of Sports Programming Stephen Espinoza. "I haven't heard anything from him other than May 2nd as the date that he wants to fight."

          I wonder how much power the cable distributors have, but it's not like they can prevent HBO and SHO from staging PPVs on the same date. I think whoever ends up fighting Cotto, will fight in June. The other guy will fight in May.

                              cable distributors have a lot to do with it, i dont think sho would want to compete with canelo/cotto,lets say floyd does outsell canelo there will still be a lot of buys floyd could have had that day,sho needs to do very well bcuz regardless floyd is getting payed
