If all parties involved of a Cotto/Canelo bout stood firm on May 2nd than I think they could back down SHO and team Mayweather, but, that's a big if. SHO needs good numbers to break even with Floyd's huge guarantee, they couldn't survive losing 200-300 thousand buys imo. The odds are that out of HBO sports, Oscar, Canelo, Cotto, Arum, Penagracio, whomever, someone will be unwilling to risk a head to head.

Head to head PPVs is bad business for everyone involved.

SHO will be hurting cause Floyd has a guaranteed purse.

HBO and GB will steal some of Floyd's PPV #s but I don't think will be enough to pay Cotto, unless Canelo is willing to give Cotto the lion' share of the purse and PPV $$$.

Most fans will miss one or the other fight when is life.

If it comes to that, I rather see Cotto/Canelo than Mayweather/Khan, but it is bad business, period.

There are twists on this cause Floyd can offer Cotto a rematch, or if Floyd/Pacquiao happens then Cotto/Canelo has no chance.

The smartes thing to do is Floyd/Khan May 2 in Vegas and Canelo/Cotto in MSG on June.

Unless Mayweather fights Pacquiao, Showtime won't put him on May 2nd.

They know that a Cotto/Canelo fight will outsell them. They've seen the numbers for Floyd's last PPV's. They know his viewership is in decline.

I would watch Canelo-Cotto over Floyd-anyone not named Manny. That being said, they aren't dumb enough to stage two major PPV's on the same day. SOMEONE will bow out.

De la ho might be a weak idiot.but he's not ******. Mayweather beat them both and there's no way that cotto vs alvared breaks the record with mayweather fighting on the same night regardless the opponent. Alvared has terrible management in mexico and cotto is the A-side in that fight. Bring it on.
