Comments Thread For: Povetkin's Trainer: I Want Tyson Fury's Ass Whooped!

Former welterweight contender and now Alexander "Sasha" Povetkin's head coach, Ivan Kirpa, placed a certain fighter on the radar of his protege in his inerview with Championat. The trainer is offended by the past comments that were made by Tyson Fury.

Povetkin (28-1, 20KOs), now the WBC silver heavyweight champion, wants big fights in 2015. Fury (22-0, 16KOs) will return on November 29th against Dereck Chisora in a rematch, for the EBU/British heavyweight titles.

      Good fight. Get it made.

I think I would bet against Fury here.

It's an interesting fight because while Povetkin is levels ahead of Fury in technique he clearly suffers when being physically overpowered by a larger fighter ala Wlad.

The question is whether Fury would stick to a gameplan and use his size like that or forget himself and get caught like he did vs Cunningham (except against Povetkin, he probably wouldn't get back up).

Fury is much more hot-headed than Wlad and would take more risks, probably get KO'd.

Really like to see this but also don't want to see Fury lose yet.

Oh you mean the big clumsy stiff who got dropped by a Cuiserweight?

                Delusional.

Povetkin destroys Fury and it wouldn't even be competitive. Furys career gets ruined

Povetkin is probably still the second best at Heavyweight. I'd pick him to go through all of the US and UK hopefuls.

Povetkin would teach Fury a harsh lesson if they fought. Different levels.
