LAS VEGAS, Nevada – Fresh from his Asia trip, Top Rank CEO Bob Arum confirmed that Manny Pacquiao's training camp is going well.
“Manny was training tremendously in the Philippines. I watched him train in GenSan he was sparring with big guys and doing very well,” he said.
He also talked about their trip to Hong Kong where they were greeted by Filipinos.
“I learned with amazement that there are 185,000 Filipinos living in Hong Kong and many of those Filipinos work as domestics and Sunday was their day off so Manny met with thousands and thousands of Filipinos on Sunday in Hong Kong. It was a great experience we have a wonderful trip and he is training very well now,” said Arum.
Arum said that Pacman's condition is at his best and that after this fight, the pressure is on for a possible Pacquiao-Mayweather clash in 2015.
“That takes an attorney general and superman to get somebody like Mayweather on the ring where he has no intention of fighting Pacquiao because he knows that’s the end of his undefeated record,” said the veteran boxing promoter.
“Let's hope there’s always people putting pressure on Mayweather to sign that contract next year.”

Meanwhile, amid the hectic schedule of the fighting congressman of Sarangani, Pacquiao still managed to endorse Nevada's Attorney General prospect, Ross Miller.
“This has been a very interesting race, because while I’ve been fortunate to get most of the support in Nevada, it becomes a national race. Most of my opponents resources are coming from out of state **** Cheney said a few months ago that this is one of the most important state in the country for the ********** they dumped a lot of money and tried to take me out . Fortunately I have people like Manny Pacquiao and President [Bill] Clinton and Bob Arum to support me,” said Miller.
The Top Rank boss also claimed that in a private dinner, Hillary Clinton asked him to get Pacquiao to endorse her for US president in the 2016 elections.
“A really good sportsman is interested in the people around them. In government, they want the best political leaders to be elected and Manny is that type of sports person. Coincidentally, before I left Gensan and Hong Kong, where I was with Manny, I was at a dinner and sat next to Hillary Clinton,” he narrated.
“She said ‘Bob, I don't know if I’m gonna run for president but if I do, you gotta get Manny Pacquiao to come over and help me,’ and Manny has real interest in the American politics,” said Arum.
Miller was delighted in getting an endorsement from former US President Bill Clinton for one of the most important roles in the executive branch of law enforcement.
But getting the thumbs up from boxing superstar and Top Rank's most prized fighter was icing on the cake.
Pacquiao is no stranger to American politics. He endorsed Senate Majority Floor Leader Harry Reid during the 2010 election in the US.
“Nevada is one of the most diverse states in the entire country people come here from all over the world to live we embrace that and its part of our growth and we need to reach out to the community. My wife is from Guam she is an island herself we have a strong connections with the Filipino community. It’s important for an attorney general to top law enforcement to have those kind of ties and try to advance their interest,” said Miller.
A Filipina incumbent judge of the Family Court in Nevada, Judge Cheryl Bernadette Moss, is also in the race for her third term in the United States midterm election.
