Comments Thread For: Chambers: Joshua Facing Small Guys With No Ambition

LONDON - Former world heavyweight title challenger 'Fast' Eddie Chambers likes what he has seen of fast-rising prospect Anthony Joshua, but fears his run of soft opposition may only serve to hurt him in the future.

The 32-year-old Chambers, once of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, now an honorary member of Team Fury in Bolton, speaks from experience. Back in March 2010 he scaled the heights and challenged Wladimir Klitschko for the world heavyweight championship. He therefore knows a good heavyweight when he sees one.

last time I saw 'fast Eddie' he looked like the only thing he was fast at was ordering take aways....Josh may be a novice but he's in shape and needs these 'smaller' guys for a few fights before being moved into these experienced guys like Chambers,Chambers for his part should loose some timber and then his comments wouldn't sound like such a 'i'll swing and go for the payday joke' ..get a grip Eddie and not just on the burgers!

Get a grip! 9 fights in and his resume isn't that bad for a novice. And it also looks like he would match tougher than most HW at this stage of their careers.

          Chambers seems jealous of Joshua.

"Fat Eddie" was too slow for cruiserweight, as we saw in his fight with Mchunu.
At about 9 pro fights Chambers was fighting very soft opposition, rather than tough journeymen like Bakhtov.

Joshua's career is being managed just right so far, he's being moved neither too slow nor too fast.

Chambers would be a handful for Joshua at this early stage of his.

Chambers wouldn't be able to handle Joshua's power. The jab would be too much as well.
