Comments Thread For: Chambers: Joshua Facing Small Guys With No Ambition

Funny one Ed considering you're a small guy with no ambition other than huffing burgers. After 9 fights, Joshua's resume is already twice as good as Wilder's after about 30. He's being brought along just fine.Comment

Such irony. Who is Eddie Chambers fighting right now?
Where is his career going? What is his actual goal?
Last time I saw he was on a Billy Joe Saunders undercard, the first fight of the evening, at 5.15pm.
Of which he pulled out.Comment

Chambers would be a very good fight for him at this stage of his career. It seems like Chambers lost his will to train very hard after the brutal Wlad KO but he is still a worthy gatekeeper.
For Joshua it's a chance to step up and fight a prime-aged "name" with probably less risk than any other prime-aged "name" out there.
But I'm just someone who likes boxing and wants to see boxing matches... You can all go back to slinging McDonalds/manboobs zingers now and explaining why you'd rather see both of them fight TBA.Comment

I feel sorry for Chambers, he can't catch a break.
He's a good heavyweight who should be right back in the mix but instead he's touring the UK route of fighting absolutely dire journeyman. He's gone from fighting the likes of Wlad Klitschko and Adamek to Carl fuckin' Baker.
He wants a shot at Joshua and he should get one, I think he might cause AJ a few problems. I'd like to see him fighting some of the other top European heavyweights too.Comment

This is a ridiculous criticism. Joshua only has nine fights under his belt. Its not like he is still fighting bums after 30 or 40 fights like Canelo Alvarez, Deontay Wilder and GGG.LONDON - Former world heavyweight title challenger 'Fast' Eddie Chambers likes what he has seen of fast-rising prospect Anthony Joshua, but fears his run of soft opposition may only serve to hurt him in the future.
The 32-year-old Chambers, once of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, now an honorary member of Team Fury in Bolton, speaks from experience. Back in March 2010 he scaled the heights and challenged Wladimir Klitschko for the world heavyweight championship. He therefore knows a good heavyweight when he sees one.
