At 160, Toney probably would have KO'd Golovkin.

James might be right, but it would highly depend on what James shows up on fight night.

GGG has the tools to be something special but has yet faced an opponent to show how great he really is..Toney was a great fighter but lacked discipline and has lost and looked bad against lesser opponents then GGG so who knows

Nobody in the history of the sport has had a combined skill-set as great as Golovkins. Not even current, future ATG's like Floyd/Wlad/Pac.
it is what it is, he can't be denied. if guys actually stepped in the ring with him, he beats them with ease and people will be calling them bums and telling him to fight Ward (who he beats easily. IMO).
Golovkin has unofficial wins (via ducking) against Peter Quillin, Felix Sturm, Martin Murray (who he will finally "officially" beat in February) and more. Those are 3 top 10 fighters at 160. He literally made the whole top 10 run from him and the ones in the top 10 that did fight him (Macklin/Geale) he made them look like journeyman.you should stop watching boxing then if you think hes atg mw
Teddy atlas actually likes GGG:
But he wont put him so high up on the atg list like you are doing:
Again, what are his legitimate wins, not fairy tale wins like you are putting, that puts GGG above marvin hagler in the ATG list of mw?

Prime James Toney smokes GGG's boots without question, he'd beat the brakes off him and probably stop him

Golovkin would get the brown mustache from 160-168 Toney 100% unquestionably. It's tough watching Toney slur this bad and knowing he's gonna fight more. Great chin=long term brain damage. "Bad Chin" = short career, minimal brain damage.

The best version of Toney i.e. the one that destroyed Barkley, Prince Charles or Tim Littles I would favour over GGG any day. That guy was one of the most naturally gifted fighters I ever saw.

It's not inconceivable. James Toney before he was handed his arse and started to comfort eat was a beautiful thing.
Alternatively, if he's tucked away far from any drive-through fast-food joints for 12 weeks prior to any fantasy fight, then we've got ourselves one mean shoulder-rolling counter-uppercutting bad mother****er!
GGG's a good boy though. No need for Toney to intervene. He puts his own lights out at 9pm on the dot!
