How would Klitschko's career have looked without the use of illegal tactics?

I don't know if I'd consider his tactics illegal but if you're referring to clinching then I'd say the biggest difference in his career probably would've been that he'd have more KO's. But he has a lot of those already. Come to think of it, not feeling the premise of this thread at all.

without holding and clinching so much once he hooked up with Steward, Wlad surely would have been KTFO several more times by the average and below average fighters he faced. It completely changes his legacy and his place in history.

I agree. Only reason I like it is because I know how bad Freedom wants to comment even though he can't. Hahaha

You Tube the FOTC, watch closely as you read the round by round descriptions and add them up.

You can't get any better evidence than empirical/ irrefutable kind

As for Klitschko, sure we'll stay on topic.

Klitschko DIDN'T get DQ'd did he.

Why do you think that is?

Because he didn't break the RULES! You are allowed to clinch, it is boxing!

And Povetkin FORCED a lot of the clinches, which obviously weighed heavily on the refs decision not to warn.

You are not allowed to hold and hit. When the ref says break you have to break. You cannot hold the hands or the neck or stuff like that.

You CAN be warned for excessive clinching! That was a bit of bad reffing.

You also cannot be DQ'd without being warned.

            Get the drift?

Anyway that was 2 fights ago, nothing like that had been witnessed previously, so your thread is irrelevant.
The only thing I know you have wrong here is that clinching is illegal no matter how you watch boxing, it is just understood and accepter by refs because getting tangeled up is not illegal its an accident and its next to impossible for a ref to prove which is happening. I have heard the announcers in both hbo and showtime's telecast repeatedly say that clinch is illegal but then scoff it off. There is no way they wouldn't know that after watching more fights than you or I have seen

If his chin was so poor, Sam Peter would have stopped him, possibly Wach and Haye as well. They all caught him.

Wlad has a weak chin. He got rocked by Haye and Wach.

I'd like to see how Povetkin would have done if he didn't have to powerlift and box Klitschko at the same time.

People love to make up all kind of fantasy and hypothetical scenarios with Wlad..... meanwhile he's taking out the #2 and 3 fighters in the division in back-to-back fights with ease.

lol Wlad's legacy/resume grows by the day. Haters can't stand that he's not fighting Wach/Mormeck type voluntary defenses (due to nobody wanting to fight him... for a career payday. now that's saying something) and he's taking out the best the division has to offer and after Pulev..... most likely win the WBC belt, further adding to his legacy.

Oh well.... time to make more fantasy/hypothetical threads on NSB about Wlad
