Somewhere in the lower top 10.

    Possibly just outside.

His boxing was very overrated. I see him as more of a patient brawler than a real good boxer. He had a jab but couldn't really do anything else when faced with a problem. Mercer boxed even with him, the Holyfield fights were non-events, where he got one-upped by Ruiz, since Johnny actually dropped Evander. That said, he had very good one-punch power that put to sleep any but the strongest chins and his ability to fight back when hurt was underrated. Tough fighter to deal with, unless you catch him clean like McCall and Rahman or had the size to match and outbox.

Lennox Lewis participated against one of the strongest line ups of HW boxers in history, suffered only 2 losses by shock KO from big punchers when he was not switched on, avenged one properly and can't be blamed for the other having a mental break down!

He was among the most dominant HW of all time, had one other close fight against MErcer, Mercers best performance, Lewis's worst, and dug deep and still won!

He looked absolutely beautiful when he boxed (Rahman 2, Tua, Tyson, Holyfield 1, Morrison and so on) had among the best jabs, best straight rights, overhand rights, right uppercuts.

Could switch animal and **** out some of the best HW's of the era too, Superheavies like Golota and Grant!

And did all this absorbing relatively little damage for such a hard hitting and quality era.

So to say that Lewis is not right at or near the top of the greatest HW's of all time, is a mild "understatement".

I have Tyson in my top 6

I don't rate Ali as a top HW h2h at all.

I rate all 3, Ali, Lewis and Tyson in my top 10 when it comes to historical greatness.

But I still rate Lewis above both in that category too.

            WTF?

Staring on Lennox Lewis now too?

            What is wrong with you!

You will rubbish my top boxers just for the sake of it!

Even Old Time Nut Bags are unable to place Lewis outside of top 5 usually, but not you, your "special"

And only being in your 20's, I find this very disturbing!

I like Lennox Lewis as much as the next guy, but I'm not like you, I'll judge his career without bias. Plenty of HWs have better resumes than Lewis has.

I actually turned 30 in September, but thanks for saying I look young.

Where does Ross Purrity fit in? 5-10?

I remember watching this. The sound of that right hand is something I will always remember.

I evaluate every boxer without bias.

And I can assure you there is scarcely any HW with a resume anywhere nearly as good as Lewis's.

Unless of course you are rating bums and cruisers higher than unbeaten mountains of muscle like Grant and Golota, or dangerous opponents like Tyson etc. in which case I would call you a moron!

You could say I am biased against cruisers padding HW records
You could say I am biased against bums.
