That's where I think your short sighted. None of the names I mentioned needed big fights to build their base, for whatever reason people just started following them.

Thurman needs to be marketed better. More exposure and more often.

We would have to wait and see what type of "offer" he gives. "Showtime must get the fight and FMP is the promoter", to me, thats a ****** offer and it makes absolutely no sense.

After how HBO (Merchant & Lampley especially) have treated Floyd, "Showtime gets the fight," is not a ****** offer. Now asking Manny to sign with Mayweather Promotions, that's insane! Telling Arum that Mayweather Promotions will promote the fight, that's NOT insane! If I was Floyd, I would offer him the $40 million again, split the PPVs 60/40, and the fight is at 147 @ Jerry's World in Arlington, TX on Cinco de Mayo 2015. And of course...Take the test (OST), fully random from the day the contract is signed until the post fight test. Just dreamin'!

This is the very rare instance where the the "duck" was not only documented but admitted. They took the fight because they never heard of Thurman and as soon as they saw tape of him they blatantly refuse to fight him, and have avoided him ever since.

Rios is nowhere near of chino ......in fact rios today will losse with any of the top 10 at 147 and 140

Manny has never in his career faced anyone that fights like Chino. With the exception of Bradley and JMM no one he fought made and attempt to counter his combos at all. They simply have turtle shell defenses. Chino counters and he times. He doesn't just walk straight in with his head up.
