Comments Thread For: Maidana Would Love To Return Against Pacquiao in 2015

Former world champion Marcos Maidana (35-5, 31KOs) would love to return to the ring in a major fight in 2015. Maidana is coming off back to back pay-per-view fights with Floyd Mayweather Jr. in Las Vegas. Maidana lost a close twelve round majority decision in May and then lost a spirited twelve round unanimous decision in September.

Pacquiao is going to defend his WBO world welterweight title on November 22nd against undefeated Chris Algieri in Macau, China.

            Great fight BUT...........

Great fight BUT it doesn't make sense at this point. WHY? Because MM lost the rematch with Floyd. He is thinking of the money at this point by wanting to fight Manny. He needs to get in line. If he had beaten Floyd in the rematch, then he'd have a legit argument.

Personally, I think Pac beats him fairly easily, fighting off the back foot.

But who knows, Maidana has that will to fight.

Considering that Maidana's family wants him to retire, a fight with Pacquiao would serve as a great severance package. Manny's speed would kill him though.
