Cotto has said he will fight GGG after Canelo, which is fair enough. GGG will have to wait and see what happens there, which is where Canelo comes into the picture. If he beats Cotto, Canelo will be WBC and linear middleweight champ, that's why GGG is talking about maybe fighting him. It's that title he wants, whoever is holding it.
GGG isn't challenging Mayweather. His manager just responded to a comment by Mayweather Sr that Floyd would beat GGG.
As for Ward and Froch, they are, of course super-middleweights and GGG is focussed now on unifying at 160, not moving up to 168. That will probably happen in the future, but Ward has got to sort his legal issues out first and decide if he even wants to fight again, which isn't clear at the moment. Froch, btw, has said he will only fight GGG if he has to, and he doesn't have to, so forget about that one.
