Is there any hype for this fight? I don't think I've been this uninterested in a Pac fight since the first Bradley fight was announced with Pac. Turned out better than I thought it would but still ****** and the decision made it worse.

I don't see any excitement out of this fight outside of Algieri selling out and standing to trade with Pac to prove something.

It is what it is. Pac killing time against what's left of Top Rank's welterweight stable. I'd be more intrigued if I thought Pac would really try and get this guy out of there, but I don't expect that.

I'm amazed at how far Pac's gone since the Morales/Barrera days. I honestly thought he had reached his peak after the 3rd Morales fight as did many others. Who would of thought he still had a 2nd career left in him that would practically leave his early weight class accomplishments in the dust.
Everything he does at this point is just pouring the gravy on top of what he's already accomplished.

algierri wanted the fight at 147 which is above his normal weight of 140. Being the naturally bigger man anything above 140 is an advantage to algierri

it really doesn't matter anyway. pac is small enough to make the catchweight comfortably and algieri can easily make 144 of course.

Its well publicised Roach demanded it , he said the CW was what we wanted not what Algeiri wanted .

Saying it doesnt matter is being gullible if it didnt matter they would not have bothered with it , the reason Roach demanded it is 2 fold , they dont want Manny too light and they dont want to give Algeiri a chance to fill out his frame and be too big on the night .

Manny has manipulated weight more than any other fighter in the history of boxing .
