How would a GGG vs. Froch PPV in Vegas do?

I mean Froch is asking for a final fight in Vegas. Why not Froch vs. GGG at the Mandalay Bay? They should be able to sell the place out. GGG is already a good draw and Froch will bring at least 4.000 crazy Britains along him.

It would be a risk for HBO to put it on PPV though. Do you think it can draw 200.000 PPV-buys? I think that would already be a success for that kind of a fight.

I think it would be bigger post Murray as more boxing fans in the UK will be exposed to GGG by that time. Froch is already a big name and has a very good following in the US.

I think it sells out the MGM and can be a big PPV draw, obviously not on the Manny/Floyd/Cotto levels but a couple hundred k is still a very good number. HBO win financially.

I think it would be pretty big. Probably the second biggest fight froch can realistically make and I don't believe it would be miles off the numbers a chavez jnr fight would generate despite what people who don't want the fight to happen claim.

And yes post Murray it would certainly be bigger.

HBO have already told Eddie Hearn that GGG is Not yet a PPV attraction, so I'm guessing not too well.

It would do numbers in the UK, but not in the US. Chavez on the other hand will do numbers on both sides of the pond....there is a reason Ward, Golovkin and Froch all want to fight Chavez.

like I said people who don't want the fight to happen will argue this line pretty hard. I don't really buy it myself though.

I would very much like it to happen, it's the best fight available. It would be tremendous.

It's just not likely. As much as we on here would like it, if the people who actually televise the fights say it's not a PPV then it's hard to say otherwise.

The money from Chavez is the reason for numerous fighters seeking him out.

imo GGG v Froch in vegas is a big fight. yeah, froch v Chavez or indeed GGG v chavez would be bigger. But just because froch v GGG is not the biggest possible doesn't mean it's not big. Chavez is kinda in the doldrums and everybody wants to fight him his two options really are Froch or GGG and he is playing them off against eachother trying to get the best deal (a big chunk for himself) it's possible imo that a reasonable split between froch and GGG would not leave either fighter all that short of what they would get against chavez if chavez insists on the lions portion of a PPV. I';m not quoting figures as I don't know them but that's my hunch ,,, e.g. froch GGG at circa 60/40 to froch may see froch with more money than froch Chavez with 80/20 for chavez

Chavez won't get anywhere near 80/20 with Froch, 60/40 is about as far as I can see it. Given that the fight will do what, 300,000 buys in the US as opposed to about a million in the UK?

GGG-Froch is indeed still a big fight, but it's believed that this is Froch's final bout and its been well known that he wants to end it with a Vegas PPV. The only person that offers that is Chavez

GGG has also stated he wants to clear out 160 before moving division, so I'm not even sure how realistic the fight actually is.

That fight would do fine in Vegas at the venue surely it'll sell out.

Not so sure it's a US level PPV though. Froch isn't really known star here in the states, and GGG still needs to beat a star on PPV to get his breakthrough for a fight like this to sell PPV's
