And people musta forgot that the reason RJJ got KO'd against Tarver was cuz he went from heavyweight back to 175 in 1 fight

He was never the same after that

If you compare his resume up to the Ruiz fight, it was as impressive a run as any other boxer in history

Toney was more gifted than both of those guys. Not even close in my book.

Other than Hopkins, Toney, and Hill, what great names are on his resume? Blown-up Pazienza? Antoine Byrd? Julio Cesar Gonzalez? Clinton Woods?

Why are people downplaying the Ruiz win? If he was so crappy, why were folks picking Roy to lose?

Crap argument. Remove two of the biggest names from a fighter's resume, then ask who did he beat. Priceless.

Are you guys serious??? Toney and Hopkins are ATG wins, literally ATG wins. Does floyd have any ATG on his resume?

                tarver
                griffin before roy ruined him

Since when does floyd have to gontonthe phillipines to fight pac?
                Number guy calls the shots.

Roy was waiting in vegas for DM.
he never showed. He waited for joe calzaghe too. Never showed till way later like hopkins did. 60 40nand ill kick your arce.remember.

Mccallum hill tarver and griffin were
better then gatti canelo corrales castillo and corley.
for ever taxi driver roy fought floyd has a mitchell baldomir ghost and ortiz.

Floyd would never dare go to 168 and fight froch in wmbley and make at least 50 million. He wouldnt fight kovalev for any amount.

Ruiz was a top ten heavy and beat solid fighters.

People trying to downplay Jones win at HW. At the time Ruiz was the only one that wanted to fight him. Since none of the other HW Champs wanted to fight him to unify he took the best money fight out there for him at the time. So a win - win situation for both fighters.

When Roy beat Montell in the rematch he wanted to fight Holyfield but Holyfield didn't want the fight back then. Once Jones beat Ruiz there were other discussion to fight Holy again but it ain't happen and Holy ended up fighting Toney and got man handled.

Jones was the first man to go from 154 to HW. It's in the history books yall can't take that away from him. Even if you feel the person that had the belt wasn't the real champ. He was real enough for the other champs not to want to unify. Rahman knocked Lewis out and Ruiz beat Rahman pretty easy.

He is the only boxer in history to start his career as a junior middleweight, and go on to win a heavyweight title. He is also noted for holding the WBC, WBA, IBF, IBO, NABF, WBF, and IBA light heavyweight championships (Undisputed Light Heavyweight Champion); a record seven belts at the same time. Jones left his mark in history books when he captured the WBA heavyweight title, becoming the first former middleweight champion to win a Heavyweight title in 106 years. As one of the best pound for pound boxers of all time, Jones is also acknowledged as being one of the most physically gifted athletes in the history of the sport.

Jones was named "Fighter of the Decade" for the 1990s by the Boxing Writers Association of America.
I also want to chime that RJJ got a cologne out called Legend and some custom made ***elry. http://jusdamour.com/legend-p-5.html

                    vs ruiz.

Roy started at 154 and moved all the way up to 205 to fight ruiz who was 230 at weigh in.
thats 51 pounds in move up and was out weighed 25 pounds at weigh in.thats 76 pounds total.

Floyd started at 130 and moved up to 154 .thats 24 pounds.
if he moved up to 160 thats 30 pounds.

Why hasnt floyd gone for his heavyweight title which in boxing is a top3 alltime division beside welter and heavy.
its like him trying to take on anyone champ at 160 or froch at 168.imagine floyd vs froch at wembley??
Thoughts on roy accomplishment compared to what floy would have to do to be even close to such a great feat.
Floyd doesn't care enough about greatness to risk it.

He would rather secure the level that he has reached.

Talent for talent? I think Roy was the more naturally gifted of the two, but I get the sense that Floyd had the advantage in education and perhaps discipline in the ring.
