And he is absolutely correct when he says that people who think Provodnikov won their fight don't know boxing.
Name ONE meaningful punch algieri landed on that fight??? All he did was pop shot him to death, nothing else. Herrera did waayyy better.

Arum must expect this fight to be close or Pac losing.

If you read my post you responded to I said it was far from a clear victory against Provodnikov, I didn't say he shouldn't have won but it was close and not a blowout. My point was Algieri is not levels above Provodnikov and for him to think he is to me is insane.
It wasn't a blowout but it was a clear victory in my opinion. He isn't levels above Provodnikov but I don't think that's what he meant. I take it as him saying that there is no need for a rematch because the decision was not controversial. And getting back on "this level" would allude to Provodnikov having a couple of more notable victories or picking up another world title.

Lol - no... Huge A-side boxers always have rematch clauses.

Floyd and Pac pretty much always have rematch clauses.

i rewatched the provo fight and i still have provo winning, you just cant win a FIGHT with light jabs while taking heavy shots, the heavy shots should score way more, plus that first round really hurt algeri .

and I dont see this fight being close at all, manny will walk threw him and his light shots.

I dont think he is saying what you think he is saying. Provodnikov was definitely on a higher level than him. That's why he was heavily favored to win the fight. But he lost. And in losing to an underdog he lost his status in the sport just as Algeri's status elevated by winning. The way the fight played out it looked a lot more like skill that won the fight for him than luck. He's an arrogany fcuk huh? He's a fighter. No need to try to make him out to be some kind of villian because there really isnt any evidence to support such a claim.

He knows pac is done, so he's trying to preserve his career as long as possible.
