Actually Maidana made $3 million in the first fight with Floyd and you're kidding yourself if you think he'd make anything close to that with any other fighter on planet Earth. That goes for everyone. A Floyd fight guarantees a fighter their highest payday.

They are definitely going down but aside from the name guys (Manny, Canelo, Cotto to name some of the rare few who generate better than average casual fan interest), the rest bring virtually the same $$$. A Mayweather/Danny Garcia fight would do no better than a Mayweather/Bradley fight. Or a Thurman fight, etc. There's basically two tiers. The big name tier and then everyone else. Robert Guerrero, Marcos Maidana, Victor Ortiz, etc. In these cases the casuals had virtually no idea who they were. They got those fights because of Floyd and Floyd only.

People trying to dismiss guys like Bradley & Thurman due to money are just making excuses. Unless you can put together a Floyd and Manny fight, or even Cotto & Canelo rematches, virtually the rest of the fight possibilities for FMJ bring in the same money.

Yeah, like when he actually comes to fight, once every ten years. When he's not just trying to steal everyone's money by using his technique that is a proven success on winning rounds. It's like the boxing version of "counting cards."
