It would be possible, but Floyd makes history and becomes MW champ by beating Taylor. Taylor vs anyone is a joke at this point, he's done.

Okay, naturally you can make fantasy fight threads but I hope on some day everyone will understand that: Haymon fighter = won't fight against any HBO/Top Rank fighter, because Haymon isn't interested in. The same goes to Quillin, Jacobs, etc... There are very few exceptions mostly the mandatories but even they are not always (see Quillin-Korobov or Garcia-Postol). Taylor will most likely lose his title against Quillin or Jacobs it depends on which one will win thier fight.

If they really want to get that Mexico vs. Puerto Rico rivalry started up again then maybe get Sergio Mora.

Cotto vs. Mora in late January. And then Cotto vs. Canelo in May.

I don't have a problem with Cotto vs. Taylor, let them get paid, but when Cotto wins don't expect him to get props from anybody.
I can totally support these fights.

Not sure about Sergio Mora - he fights in such a spoiler mode.

I wouldn't expect Cotto to get props - it was just proposed as a stay busy fight in prep for a big fight against Canelo or GGG

The Cotto/Canelo fight happens in either May or June. If he fights Mayweather its in May.

I want to see Cotto/GGG, but I doubt Cotto fights him, in what is surely a swan song fight before he secures a Canelo or Mayweather fight.

I could understand that it might be a "stoopid" fight, but other than those three, who else would you like to see in what would be a HBO WCB fight...that is realistic? Kirkland @154, knowing how unreliable he is; Bundrage @ 154, which is worse than Taylor?

Peter Quillin, although everyone hates him and he's a Showtime guy only? Murray who can't fight in USA? Maybe a Trout rematch?

It's easy to just ramble that everything is a sh#t fight, but any substance or alternatives? At least Cotto vs Taylor is a champ vs champ fight, non-PPV. But hey, if you have better ideas

gennady golovkin, the planet's best middleweight. that's a ppv fight, and tickets would command serious bucks in new york or las vegas.

porque jermain taylor es "shot to sh#t."

let's not make a farce of the lineal MW title. "unifications" mean nothing. do you really care what color the belts are? that's the difference between the alphabet belts. they're of different colors. they mean nothing. unifying belts that means nothing isn't goign to justify a crap fight forme, and shouldn't for you either.

this is the same title that you can trace back to the great MWs. cotto should't even have this title. martinez hsould have taken his beating from golovkin like a man.

don't drag the freaking lineal MW title through the mud any longer.

It would be the nail in the coffin of Cotto's dwindling relevance. Just taking that fight would be worse than losing to Trout was.

Fight Canelo or Golovkin and get back on the map.

Nobody cares about your "middleweight title" if you won it against an injured retiree who showed up for the payday and defended it against a destroyed shell going through an attempted murder trial.

sadly trout was never the same after canelo... that chin was cracked badly...

Are you serious? The thread maker must be on crack to even want to see that fight.
