If Rubio is a top 5 MW then GGG definetly has to move up. To me he looked nothing short of a tomato can. I want to see the guy in there with someone durable that can give the man a competitive fight. I believe guys like Froch and Ward can give him that kind of fight.

Yes he is exciting. But his style and how he fights isn't appeasing to my eyes I am sorry that this offends you.
No offense taken. Could you explain what you don't like about his style? I think he is gifted, stylistically. I am guessing you don't like the more European style. You like fighters who dance around and shake their booty.

He's definitely talented and I would say he's exciting as well. You know what you're going to get with him. He's going to apply pressure and lay serious leather on his opponent. I haven't missed a GGG fight on HBO since his debut. I also think it will only get better as his level of opposition increases.

I'll admit I wasn't very excited about this matchup because I don't think Rubio is good and I knew he wouldn't last long or put up a good fight. I did tune in however because I know there is always a chance to see a highlight reel KO.

GGG vs. Froch/Chavez Jr./Ward could turn out to be classic fights.

he is exciting in his intent, but his fights will remain predictable until his team can convince someone on his level to share the ring with him. i don't think cotto will be that guy, but canelo may be.

Taylor in the top 5, Soliman still in the top 10

He needs to move up the division is one big joke. He will never get tested at this rate.

There is a fighter at MW I'd like to see him fight and would give him credit for actually & that is the tough, slippery Sergio Mora.
He is one I feel could give GGG rounds and make him have to work.
That is about the only opponent at 160 who I feel the outcome wouldn't be so predictable with.

If you find him exciting or not who really gives a ****, no need to impose your opinion on everyone else. There's going to be mixed opinions on every boxer, and it's pretty obvious what posters are taking which side. A bunch of hypocritical comments from both sides.

Personally I thought the Donaire vs Walters fight was much more exciting than the main event.

However I think the Cotto fight will be exciting if Cotto can take GGGs punch. Cotto is the kind of fighter that can pose some problems for GGG with his subtle movement, heavy jab, and experience. Plus GGG can be hit. To me Cotto and GGG are by far the two best MWs and everybody else is a distant 3rd. I can't see Quillin or Canelo competing with either fighter right now.
Ummm...let me think....Yup. I was 8 feet in front of Macklin getting smashed by a body shot and could hear the carnage. GGG is def exciting.

If there's no offence taken why are you annoyed that I don't find him entertaining? It's so bizarre.

You understand people have differing opinions, correct?

I like a wide range of styles. When I watch Golovkin his style of fighting I just don't enjoy. Again that's my personal opinion, believe it or not I am allowed it.

That's not to say I don't think he's a good fighter clearly he is a very good fighter and a very hard puncher he's just not my cup of tea.

What I meant was his fights aren't all that exciting. GGG has an exciting style but to this point his opponents haven't shown much resistance. And it takes two to tango.
