Golovkin fought Rubio to take his interim belt, making him a mandatory to Cotto. If Cotto doesn't fight him, he vacates and gives GGG what should be his anyway. If he fights Cotto, his legacy gets vastly improved by the pure destruction he'll do to Miguel.

Cool story, Ward style heavily revolves around clinching and hugging, case in point his fight vs Kessler. He's a great inside fighter and boxer, but boring as **** to watch, which is why he has barley any fans.

Boxing is not rocket science...hit and don't get hit. There are different styles in boxing. Just becuase you appreciate slick technical defensive boxers (Hopkins, Ward, Floyd, Rigo) doesn't mean the other styles are not boxing.

How you can equate what happens in a professional boxing ring to beating up 50 girls is beyond me.

And here comes the argument that I am uneducated because I don't understand what Ward is doing. Yes call me uneducated for wanting excitement in professional boxing.

I'm not saying he should have KO'd Froch or an elite fighter. Hell I'm not even saying he should have KO'd Rodriguez; but when you're fighting much much weaker opposition, as Ward was when he fought Rodriguez, it would be nice if Ward actually stepped on the gas and not bore us to death.

History is littered with slick, technical fighters embarrassing great offenive fighters. I don't care about entertainment. Ward is a better fighter than GGG, which is why we would rather watch him. And it is also why GGG's management and fans don't want the fight.

GGG is a good boy!

I've been a fan of boxing since I was a kid and boxed myself for a bit while in the Army. I've been a fan of "boxingscene" for 6-7 years and I rarely post, but after reading some of the comments I just felt compelled to put my 2 cents in.

I've come to the conclusion that some people are just filled with pure hate and racism (from all cultures). My parents are Mexican and I had the opportunity to be born in the good ole' US of A. I love my culture but that doesn't mean it should translate to all aspects of my life, especially my passion for boxing. People... please leave that b.s. racist **** behind you. It is ok to be a fan of a boxer that doesn't share your culture; we are all of the same race, the human race!

I swear there is so many keyboard warriors out there, by all means if you feel you can do a better job, please go out there and get in the ring and see how well you do. I do not understand how some fans have the nerve to call a boxer a bum or say they have no heart? If you are one of these people then you are not a true fan of boxing. Unless you have fought world class fighters for 12 rounds (45 minutes), hell if you have fought anyone in the ring for 45 minutes you have no room to talk. If you have done this then you should know better; the amount of preparation and training to be even ok is extremely hard, I cant imagine the sacrifice these guys go through to fight on the world stage. If you are not a fan of a particular boxer that is ok, but you shouldn't judge his/her character or heart because of what you saw sitting on your ass drinking a beer as if you can do better.

What is not to like about GGG? He is exciting, he wants to clean out his division and become a true champion, he is very humble, he is appreciative of his fans, he is classy in victory, he is clean cut, he stays out of trouble, and above all else he is a good boy. How often do you have an athlete like this? This is someone that stays above all the b.s. and stays grounded, but that doesn't seem to be enough. I guess you just can't make some people happy. Maybe he hasn't beat everyone, but he is doing pretty good if you ask me. No need to hate or act as if you know he would lose against another fighter. If you watch boxing you know that until the two get in the ring no one knows what truly might happen. That is the beauty of boxing! All the big fights will come eventually and we will see if he truly is the best, but until then just sit back and enjoy the show.
