Don't pretend as if Ward wouldn't do the exact same thing if he was in GGG's shoes. Hell Ward for a long time was calling Chavez for a fight. When he realized he wasn't getting it and it looked like Froch was going to get it, he criticized Froch.

The one thing that you have to appreciate about GGG is that he never fights to his opponents level. He's destroyed all of his opponents recently. Regardless of what you think about his opposition other top level fighters fight lower level fighters as well and they don't make it look this easy.
For example, my guy Lara, who I think is a great fighter, fights to his opponents level too often. He's just not consistent and it's hurt his career. He gets draws with fighters that have no business being in the ring with him like Molina and Vanes. He gets dropped by Angulo. Goes the distance with Freddy Hernandez. Takes his foot off the gas against Canelo.
I can name other fighters as well. But GGG is consistently dominant against fighters that are worse than him.

Pavlik got him outta there almost six years ago.
Rubio had already lost when he signed the contract fighting against Gennady. No surprise there.
With that said. I really can't see anyone stopping Gennady at the moment. Cotto is past it, has had a lot of rough fights but has tons of experience and packs enough power to make Gennady respect him, I think.
Quillin, well I don't know. Highly likely - he is still untested (like Gennady), but it seems like he doesn't want to share the ring with Gennady.
Canelo and Lara, if they move up - maybe. They have the skills but I don't know if they pack the punch to keep Gennady at bay.Last edited by Main Source; 10-19-2014, 01:27 AM.
