A fighter that excels with forward momentum and attacks intelligently plus diversely will always find some success against Mayweather.

Although having a complete tool set of knowledge fighting by inches, forward, and backwards will give you a higher success rate. When Mayweather pressures and flashes combinations, these past fighters freeze a bit because they expect Mayweather on a backtracking counter defense style.

As much as i like watching Floyd fight, Lara will have the longer reach and is very elusive. I don't see Floyd pressuring him. Lara will not fight the way you think he will in this fight.

In terms of style I think the answer is clearly 'brawler' or 'stalker' types. Castillo, DLHoya, Cotto and Maidana all gave Floyd problems using an active and intelligent lead hand and by trapping him on the ropes while throwing in combinations to body and head.

That doesn't mean any old Ricky Hatton will automatically win because they are brawler (obviously) but I think any style which gives Floyd time and space to think will be out thought.

Hatton gave Floyd some issues for a good part of the fight. He was gassed and outclassed in the last 3-4 rounds.

The only way I see Mayweather losing is if he gets caught early by someone he took lightly. Give him time and he'll figure a way to win.
Valero would't gas just ask Oscar about Valero and to the guy who mentions Demarco Valero still beat him down and was on coke while doing it

Valero TKO 2 vs Klitschko. He never lost. There is no blueprint

That was kinda my point tbf. He had the right style, but he wasnt fit enough, smart enough or talented enough to beat Mayweather.

We've only seen him stick to fighting one style, kind of a coincidence huh?

It's always strategic match making with Floyd
