Two things strike me here. Americans think they truly reflect the world, so if they say the division sucks, then it must suck.. However outside the USA Heavy weight fights are still the main event.
And Americans are so fucking insecure and can't deal with not being number 1 at everything.. When they aren't.. The first thing they do is malign whatever they are not number one at and then act like they don't care. When they are number one.. It suddenly matters again.

It gets boring after a while.
I'm American and I don't think that's true. I'm a big fan of Martinez, Pac, GGG, Kovalev and rooted for them against Paul Williams, Shane Mosley, Stevens (and I'm from Brooklyn) though I must say I have mixed feelings about the upcoming Hopkins fight.

I don't think most Americans give a rat's ass about being number one in anything (especially left-wingers/progressives). Right wingers would like us to be number one in economic freedom again. Not because it's being NUMBER ONE - but because it means more prosperity.

The shame of the matter is that we will never know how good the Klitschkos could have been. As a side note everybody agrees that the 1990s was a great decade for heavyweight boxing - but it wasn't dominated by Americans.

Here's some of the big names from the 1990s

David Tua, Oleg Maskaev, Ike Ibeabuchi,Razor Rudock,Lennox Lewis,Frank Bruno,Francois Botha, Andrew Gollata

and I'm sure there were others. David Tua and Lennox Lewis had a lot of fans here.

And the same thing is true in other divisions. There are a lot of Lomachenko, Matthysse, Pac, Saul Alvarez, GGG, Martinez, Kovalev, Tyson Fury, and Klitschko fans here. (And I'm not talking about Mexicans for Alvarez or Ukranians for Klitschko.

Well aside from Lennox Lewis, none of those fighters "dominated" though so what you're saying isn't true. Throughout the 90's period, Holyfield, Foreman, Bowe, Michael Moorer, Mike Tyson and Lennox Lewis were by far the most dominant fighters of the era. Even the second tier fighters were filled with Americans like Briggs and later on Michael Grant and tommy Morrison.

I think its getting a lot better that it used to be. guys like fury,,,wilder,,,stiverne and Joshua can make some big noise. I really have my eyes on Joshua. I think hes going to do some big things, seems like he has his head on straight. I wish him well. Im a big fan of his. just hope they continue to match him well and don't rush things

A black american/brit will win a belt via vacancy and beat up some left overs of Wlad and Vitali. Then he will be called an ATG and be mentioned in fantasy fights vs Ali.

It pretty much has been the same for years apart from Vitali retiring.

I had hope for jennings until I saw him against perez. I thought he looked terrible. I think Joshua is the real deal and will dominate the division once wlad retires. I think the sky is the limit with that dude. he has the size and tools to pull it off as long as hes not too chinny which we don't know yet. but hell,, wlad is still chinny and still dominated so we shall see
