Tell me your opinions on Lee Selby

So what do you guys think of this featherweight contender?

he's big at the weight but lacks any serious power but makes up for it with hand speed and exceptional footwork. However, he isn't the complete fighter some are making him out to be and for all his defensive abilities, he does get caught a hell of a lot but with every step up he has gotten better and better.

I honestly believe he has the beating of someone like Gradovic.

I like him, he does get caught a bit too often with the style he's adopted though, but he's very technically sound. I reckon if someone like Roger May was to train him he'd be very good.

And yeah he beats Gradovich easy, the last guy he fought was meant to be a killer and he barely landed a shot. And before the fight Lee said he thought that guy was a tougher fight than Gradovich.

what makes you say that apart from the fact that you haven't seen Selby?

Yeah, Selby is improving all the time, I just wish he gets the big fights at feather so we can see how good he can really be.

He's alright, but it's difficult to tell how far he'll go, he could be a good contender and may grab himself a title, but he's not elite. He's also got that corny Welsh arrogance about him that Clev has that makes me cringe.
