Exactly. What more can fans reasonably ask of Froch?

Froch had to beat Kessler or he couldn't have slept knowing Calzaghe had beat him.i think he is desperate to fight in Vegas too because Calzaghe did, only difference Calzaghr fought and beat a legend,Froch wants a guy who is shít always has been shít and always will be shít,or he simply doesn't want a challenge against the likes of Ward,Kessler,DeGale or the Boogeyman...... Golovkin the one fight HIS fans want.

To all that are comparing the Degale situation to when Froch was mandatory to Calzaghe - Froch did do what Calzaghe didn't do! Twice he fought a British mandatory!

If Carl Froch doesn't get the Vegas fight, I'd like to see him retire or bow out with a 3rd Kessler fight to settle the score.

Not interested in a Degale fight.

In what world is Froch not a legend and an absolute 100% certainty for the HOF?

            It's not in this world.

Now Froch is going to retire and effectively duck Degale as a result. On the one hand, Froch is a true warrior, there's no denying that. On the other hand, and perhaps most importantly, I BET FROCH will look back one day and realize he did to Degale what Calzaghe did to him - and he will regret that.

Why not have that fight, make those extra £4,000,000+ ($6.5 MILLION+ approx) and enjoy the rest of his life knowing he didn't ***** out like Calzaghe did to him?

Is Degale the NEW Froch? (in the sense that the top fighters in the division were initially afraid to fight him).
froch gave groves a chance and crushed him so he doesnt need to give degale a chance imo because he already gave a young contender a shot, and groves beat degale anyway

I don't blame him. He should just vacate that alphabet soup belt and go for the big money fights at 168 (Kessler III or JCC).

He'll go down as greater than Calzaghe in my book. Froch has no more to prove. Fine by me, champ.

Chavez is never going to happen and Froch has earned the right to do whatever he wants...

                    BUT.

I would have loved to see him have a crack at 175. So many great fights there.
