Makes sense, Manny has never made the welterweight limit, he always came in at 144 or 145, it's not his weight class. Good fights @ 140: Manny vs Danny, Lucas, Broner, Ruslan, and Mikey or Crawford if they move up.

Lucas is moving up, he has already stated this, same with Broner, he will be at 147 next year, Danny too. This is why this move is a confusing one.

C'mon man. It is a known fact that Pacquiao struggles to get above the welter limit. He usually comes in well under 147 and usually without cutting weight. Ever since he fought Hatton, the first of many, he was fighting naturally much bigger guys. That he's been so successful is a testament to his conditioning and his ability. He'll be able to do 140 by not drinking water for a few days. He could probably make 135 easily enough tho there's nothing there for him.

Mayweather is a natural 147lb fighter who fights bigger guys at 154lbs. It is another one of the mystifying reasons that Floyd won't fight Pacquiao - he is naturally the bigger man. Imagine what would have been said about Sugar Ray Leonard if he'd ducked Duran?

Pacquiao has been ducking and dodging the stiffest challenges since the Morales loss. Dude hasn't fought a welterweight since the Clottey fight - despite having fought at 147 or above since 2009.
