Floyd has 4 of the 5 biggest gates in Vegas history- 2 of those were the Maidana fights. MGM will surely give arena to Floyd.

GBP just lost the backing from the company that owns Staples center and about 100 other big US arenas. WHere exactly is he going to stage fight?

Lets stop making Canelo and Cotto bigger than they are.I know a lot of you hate this-but Canelo and Cotto are not big names to mainstream, middle class US casual fans that purchase ppv's. Floyd is, despite his "brand" and name taking a huge hit with all the BS and DV stuff.

Interesting to see where all this goes. But Floyd is a proven commodity-the other guys, not so much. Floyd is still seen as the best in the business-and he beat these 2.

Time will tell.

Let's get real. Mayweather's marketing team knows that May and September are important because of the Mexican audience. If and when Cotto and Canelo officially announce their event for May 5th, Floyd Mayweather or Showtime or his bosses or whoever will back off.

Why would you risk losing PPV buys? And Vegas site fees? Maybe Canelo with his youth and Oscar with his bitterness may go for that. But I doubt Cotto and his advisors will.
