bu bu but i thought floyd fans said that top rank was finished and golden boy was taking over boxing???

    remember those days???

As for oscar, if the job gets too tough for him, he can always hire another CEO. The only difference this time is that he should get more involved with the day to day. That way you know if your CEO is trying to steal the company right from under him.

Oscar will be fine if he hires the right CEO and becomes more involved instead of blindly trusting a scumbag euro slob banker.

Instead he stuck with the company that has been probed by FBI many times, raided by fbi. Oscar,Floyd, Cotto all left with Manny being the only dummy to stay. Even Garcia and Chavez smart enough to leave lol VisionQwest a neutral firm found out the truth and was fired immediately and fanboys act like it never happened.

Why would Floyd fans say Golenboy was taking over, when Oscar and Floyd don't even like each other? After Chavez and Garcia leaves. What does toprank have?

because your repugnant types used to spout this off all the time when floyd was still with GBP lol dont try to revise history alt as if floyd never worked with gbp or something lmfaaooo GTFO clown.

dont worry about top rank and arum. they are a foundational entity in boxing with over 40 plus years of working relationships and a ground work.

they know the boxing game unlike that dope dealer al haymon.

Oscar has a potential advantage in that he is a well known and liked former boxer turned promoter, who actually loves the sport. Schaefer, Haymon, AEG and Brener probably don't share Oscar's passion for the sport, and are more interested in turning a profit. We've seen how Schaefer and especially Haymon are willing to give us crap fights for big money. They are ruining the sport for profit. If Oscar is able to stay sober and surround himself with good people who share his view of wanting to make the best fights, he can still succeed, and fans can benefit. Money-grubbing clowns who only seek to milk fans of big cash for sub-standard fights need to get out of this business.
            Lol you forgot Arum smh

prior to schaffer leaving, GBP wasin a very good position. they worked with the biggest draw in the sport, had Canelo in the wings, had a deal with SHowtime, got LSC on CBS network TV, got deals with fox sports and the Spanish language network. they ahd deals with arenas for fights.

This is a setback and may be the end of the company, but don't act like they weren't at the top for a while. it's like evaluating Tyson's career solely on his fights after prison.

What's your point? This has nothing to do with Floyd. You meant like the dope fiend Oscar? Floyd been dissing Golden Boy for yrs. You're confused I believe what majority of the fans said is Golden Boy has the better fighters. Which is why they have abandoned the American market.

It's crazy to believe Schaefer had so much power in this thing.

You're supposed to look past statements and understand why they acted a certain way, in spite of their words. That they made money in the past, but they're now stepping away, points towards them having some concerns over the company's future.

                    2) The problem is Oscar is taking on more liability, assuming he purchased the shares out of his own money. It's something that could also affect his personal life if he has to take money out of his own account.

If the company bought back the shares, from the previous investors, it would diminish its overall capital.
All y his is the result of Schaffer doing business in bad faith and with malicious intentions, which could result in a law suit much greater than it already is. It can also open Pandoras box against Haymon, was his accomplice. They stole fighters and deceived fighters thinking they were under GBP. Also the deceive fighters using the GBP entity to do their dirty work.

You can back up these crooks all you want. You have every right but you are lying to yourself and others.

This should be called the "Haymon Affect on Boxing."

Yeah, just like yesterday. Schaefer run the company to the ground.
