Both fights are overrated as "classics". They were good but not that good and like I said, there was absolutely no doubt of who won the rematch whereas the first fight could have gone either way.

I was at the O2 as well, it was a brilliant fight, you're right it might be overrated.

But the 1st one was different class, those last 3 rounds were 3 of the best rounds that year if not THE best. Reminded me of Rocky II.

That said, I have zero interest in a 3rd fight.

We're 4 years removed from that 1st "classic" and Froch showed last year that he's better than Kessler, by this point there's nothing left to prove there

GGG should be the fight that the fans scream from the rooftops for. What a war that could be!

I always hear that and don't really agree. The last round for example is always lauded as a classic but it's just two tired guys aimlessly swinging at each other and predominantly missing. Maybe I need to watch it again but I never thought it was THAT great.

I read the article clown, and could care less what Kessler is saying. Ward is on record stating that he hasn't recieved any offer for a Kessler rematch from Sunderland. Kessler and Froch can talk about a Ward rematch all they want. The need to make an offer, send a contract, etc.

Why won't Ward fight Kessler when he whooped his Azz already. That's easy money. I like Kessler. But the last time he was a threat to someone like Ward, was when he fought Joe Calzaghe.

I feel the same way about another Froch-Kessler fight as I did with the Pacquaio-Marquez fights - little interest in them until they happen and then wow! I'm sure Kessler-Froch III would be a great fight, but as of right now I'm just not into it. I'd much rather see Golovkin fight each of them. As for Kessler-Ward II, I wanted to see it years ago, now that Kessler is slower and older, no thanks. Same with DeGale, boring fighter with meager accomplishments.

The thing with Pacquiao-Marquez is that the decisions were always controversial.

The first Froch-Kessler decision was certainly controversial but the second one wasn't at all.

                That's where the difference lies

I agree. Good fights, among the best of their respective years, but neither is as good as people hype them to be.

Any of these would be brilliant fights:

Kessler vs anthony dirrel, groves, or degale, or move up for bute .
I would pay to watch any of these over froch.
I cant see anyone really bothering with kessler unless he forces it with a mandatory, he's just too old for that.
Froch is also in a no win situation, unless he spanks degale for less money and gets ready for a chavez/ ward bow out.

I think Kessler could win in a Froch trilogy and it would be heaven sent for Andre Ward as that would be a lucrative rematch in California.
